[Host: Mike Kent]
[Newbie Gift: Assassin Time]
[Ability: Memory Fantasy Manifestation]
[Current ability level: LV3]
[Current upgrade progress: 90%]
[Son: Clark Kent (Kryptonian)]
[Son: Eric Kent (mutant, awakened)]
[Son: Charles Kent (mutant, awakened)]
This is the current status of Mike's abilities.
He is not far from LV4.
He is looking forward to the changes that will take place when he reaches LV4.
More importantly, judging by the rewards he received when he upgraded his abilities, if he was right, he might get a permanent ability for his character.
That was what he was really looking forward to.
Exiting the system, Mike stretched out, finished his coffee and walked into the bathroom.
After showering, Mike picked up his phone, which he had tossed aside, and gave a smile as he read the new text message on the top.
A text from Raven.
She'd been on her own since the Hellfire split, only occasionally messaging or calling Mike to talk about her situation, or if she happened to be in the vicinity of New York, and have a nice chat in you know.
It's just that it's not often.
After sending a message back to Raven, Mike tossed his phone onto his pillow and went to bed.
...
The next day, Mike woke Clark and the three of them up early, had a quick bite to eat and then the family drove off to New York.
On the way, Eric and Charles looked excited, while Clark looked a little distracted.
Mike glanced at Clark in the passenger seat and reassured him with a mysterious look on his face, "Don't worry, you'll definitely be invited to a dance tomorrow."
Clark nodded boredly, looked out the window and said, somewhat puzzled, "Aren't we going clothes shopping?"
Mike laughed, "You're graduating and I got you a graduation present."
"A present?"
Charles and Eric put their heads together.
"What is it?"
"You'll find out in a minute."
Mike smiled mysteriously.
A few moments later, Mike stopped in front of a car dealership.
Clark froze and looked at Mike in surprise, "Dad? This can't be the present you were talking about, can it?"
"A car shop?" Mike teased, "You're overthinking it, your present is inside!"
"Wow! No way!"
"Dad! You're so biased!"
Eric and Charles exclaimed, looking enviously at Clark.
To have a car of their own was a very cool thing to have at school.
Mike glanced at them, "When you graduate, I'll give you one too."
Charles' eyes lit up and he said, "Then I can graduate now!"
He had already studied all his high school classes on his own.
"Ho, you're quite a little smart-ass!" Mike laughed, and as Charles was smug, he changed his tune and said, "Well, you'll need a driver's license first."
Charles slapped his head and looked speechless.
He was only fifteen, he couldn't get a driver's licence yet, and it would only be next year.
Eric sighed helplessly too.
"Let's go!"
Clark's depressed mood was gone, and he urged him on, dragging Mike into the car.
After Clark had chosen the model and colour of the car and Mike had paid for it, the car was picked up in no time at all.
"Hey, hey!"
Charles circled the car, patted it and smiled at Clark, "What do you think? I told you it looked good in yellow."
Eric nodded and said, "Agreed."
The car was very youthful in appearance and the yellow colour gave it a vibrant look.
Turning to Clark, he said, "Try it out!"
Mike tossed the keys to Clark.
Clark took them and walked quickly towards the car. Eric pulled Charles, who had long since crossed over to the passenger side, away from it and, to Charles' burning fury, sat in the passenger seat.
"Do you want to get in the car?"
Eric asked, smiling at Charles with his head showing.
Charles secretly gave a middle finger.
Mike sighed at the side.
Charles opened the door and sat in the back seat, "Let's go!"
"Sit tight!"
Clark warned and drove off to the sound of two men screaming.
"Slow down!"
Mike shouted, smiling and shaking his head as he looked at the car that had disappeared from view.
After a short wait, Clark turned around in his car and, looking at the happy faces of the three men, Mike knew he had gotten the right car.
Next stop, clothes shopping!
Mike looked in the rear view mirror at the car following him, saw the three of them joking happily about something, and then looked at his empty car and muttered, "They're all heartless, forgetting their old loves when they have new ones."
Alas!
The old father sighed and shook his head sadly.
The three brothers each bought a suit and stood together, looking very nice.
When the four of them stood together, the shopkeeper's eyes lit up and he couldn't help but say, "So handsome."
"You have good eyes!"
Charles said with a smile, only to be slapped on the head by Mike.
"Let's settle the bill."
Mike said, and the four of them changed back into their clothes and walked out of the shop with them.
By the time they returned home after all this, it was already evening.
As the three boys finished dinner and went upstairs to bed in various moods, Mike looked at Clark's back and smiled mysteriously.
He was going to make this boy the brightest pup of tomorrow.
...
The next day.
The entrance to the ball was at 6.30pm and at 4pm Charles and Eric were already up.
With their hair combed, suits on and corsages on, they looked like 17 or 18 year olds, even though they were only 15 years old.
"Clark! Clark!"
Charles rushed into Clark's room and saw Clark still dawdling about getting changed and said, "Hurry up, we have to be there early!"
Clark buttoned up lazily, looked at the time, and with a twinkle in the corner of his eye, said, "It's only five o'clock, don't worry, we won't be late."
They had a date and he didn't, so what was the rush ...
So he dawdled again and only finished at 5:30.
Eric and Charles dragged Clark out of the house and drove Clark's car towards the place where the dance was being held.
"Drive slowly!"
Mike shouted, watching the tail lights turn into two dots of light until they disappeared from sight before turning around and closing the door, flipping his palm and pulling out a card.
[ Name: Mystique ]
[ Description: A woman who changes so much that no one knows her true face ]
Note: Guess who I am?
That's right, it's Raven's ability.
Raven's powers are very useful, but her power level is not high, so when she is manifested, it will lasts a very long time, enough for a few dances.
Mike looked at the card in his hand and muttered, "I'm impressed by my own actions, simply exemplary dad ..."
