"you have to wear the dress l picked out for you or else you will look like a joke. How dare you try to embarrass me like that, the whole world will be watching us" my mother says shouting at me in the middle of the store causing a lot of heads to turn in our direction

With the premiere of the movie tonight, she has found new ways to torture me. Why she couldn't let me wear whatever l want is beyond me. I should have seen it coming from the way she had been grilling me about the event and what l wanted to wear. She unfortunately dragged Bless into coming with us but she doesn't mind it at all because this is her favourite part of life

Her sister also tagged along because Bless didn't feel comfortable leaving her alone in the house but my mom didn't seem to mind because the more the merrier. She has been quiet this whole time which l found to be strange because she is not living up to the picture Bless painted out for me
