Chapter 09: Makeover (Part 1)

Julia's POV

I took a deep breath and exhale. What a night, doesn't it? I took a deep breath, fills my lung with a jasmine tea scent and lemon juice. So, refreshing. I sip my tea and put it on the coffee table. Ah... what a beautiful...

I looked to the door in front of me, narrowed my eyes as I heard someone walked on to my room. "What the fuck was that!?" She glared at me with her phone on her hand.

I sighed. Now, my night is ruined. I rolled up my sleeve and raised my eyebrow. "Why? I don't have any interest with a woman like you, Kesha. You... beautiful, but your heart not." Even our dad is business partner, I don't like you.

"Can you... just ignore it?! It's not what..."

Oh my God! Why she keeps forced me to like her. I put my legs on the coffee table and continue to play this MMORPG game. Pretending no one was there and she's a ghost. Ashley put a chocolate envelope next to my tea and looked down.

"I'm sorry to..."

"It's not your fault, Ashley. Can you please... kicked her? If she resist to cooperate, called the police. My night already ruined because of her." Ashley nodding her head and dragged her outside of my room.

I picked the chocolate envelope and smiling. So, this plan is already working? "Do you need something else, Ms. Albert?" I put back the photo and looked at my assistant.

I shook my head and turned on the tv. Ashley nodding her head and leave me in this room. Cecilia, how you can blind to love a man like him? Am I not enough for you?

Cecilia's POV

I stretching my muscle and looked at Marco, who still working in this hour. I shouldn't go home before him. "If you want to go home, you can go first." What? No.

"I... have something to do." I open his email and scrolling through all the page. Nothing suspicious inside this email. "What are you doing?!" I jolted and closed the browser.

"N-nothing." I said. He puts a stack of paper on my desk and packed his belonging. "Where you going? Ms. Albert said..." Marco did not answer my question.

I can hear knocking door as a smile draw on his face. Marco opened the door and hugged her. "Hey, how are you?"

I tried to ignore them, but I can't do that. "I'm good. Let's go, they waiting on the lobby." Marco leave with a stack of a paper on my desk. Ironic, isn't it? He rather get fired, than spending time in the same room with me.

I walked to the pantry to make myself a coffee and sighed. It's a Thursday night, but I'm here with a coffee in hand. At least, Julia right about one thing. Why she doing this?

I tried not to overthinking about that, but why she do that?! What's the reason behind it? I closed my eyes and sighed. YOLO, I only live once. Someone slammed the door opened as Marco growled. "Fuck!" He took off his coat and slammed the door closed.

"What happened?" Julia gets inside and glared at him. Oh, my God. I closed my mouth and looked at her. Marco grabbed her collar and pinned her to the wall. Shit. I rashly approached them. "Let her go," Marco accidentally elbowed my head and fall on the ground.

Ouch! I touched my my head and looked at Julia. He pushed Marco to the side, then approaching me. I can see a wrinkle as she checking me. "Are you okay?! What is your name?" She asked.

I brushed off her hand and sighed. I'm looking at Marco, who standing there looked at us. No apologize? Julia lend me a hand to stand. "Thanks." She nodding her head.

What now? "W-what happened?" I'm looking at her.

"I fired his girlfriend. They thought I'm bluffing about that part," said Julia as she tidying her collar. What?! Are you kidding me!?

"Besides, she hung up all the calls and it's against the protocol, right?" I'm nodding my head. "So... why you were still here? Is that... a report for the next month, or..."

"It's the report for the next meeting, why?" He glared at Julia as if he wants to eat her alive. Julia only give him a straight face. "She's my..."

"She's your secretary, yes, but please... she also a human." Marco clenching his jaw and grip his fist. "You thought... she's a snitch, don't you?" I'm standing between Julia and Marco, then pushed them.

"Please, stop!" Oh, my God. It will drive me crazy. I took a deep breath, close my eyes and exhale slowly trough my mouth. "Please... it's an office! Not an arena."

Julia's POV

I took a deep breath and close my eyes. She's right. Now, I should think how to make them go back together. I'm looking at Cecilia's outfit today. When was the last time she's shopping? Does my dad not paid you well?

I grabbed her hand and dragged her to the elevator. "Julia!" I'm glancing at her.

"When was the last time you shopping?" I asked her.

I pressed the down button and looking at my wrist watch. "Last year summer? I don't know!" Last year summer?! What? Are you serious!? This already winter season.

I took a deep breath and sighed. What type person are you? "Department store nearby has 3.4 miles from this office, now listen to me." I'm looking at her eyes. "Tonight you sleep in my apartment."

Cecilia's POV

I'm widen my eyes. "What?! How about.." she picked her phone. I'm looking at the indicator and sighed. Why today time seems so slow?

"Anthony, please keep the engine running," you wasting on money, my dear. Your dad cut your off, remember? You bought your Balenciaga on eBay.

Lot of eBay's product is a knock off. You got lucky you got a secondhand original shoes! I took a deep breath and looked at her. "Where we going?" She glancing at me and smiles.

What's wrong with her? "I already rent the entire department store so you can shopping freely. Don't be afraid to spending your money for yourself." I'm widening my eyes. What!? You rent the entire...

The elevator door opened. She dragged me to where her driver parked her car. Not a single word can describe what I heard earlier. "Tonight dinner, my treat. What do you want to eat?"

I took a deep breath exhale and looking at the sky. "Ms. Castello?" Oh, right. I'm getting inside of her car.
