Lies and Advice.

Aslan gulped as he stared back at the angry woman looking back at her. She had choked on her food after he announced his new plan.

He knew she would react negatively but not this bad.

Elianna breathed and placed the snacks aside.

"I think you hit your head somewhere while you took me away " she muttered.

"No, I didn't...am perfectly fine ".

"Then maybe a fever " she let out.

He shook his head in objection.

"If you okay then why are you spitting out such nonsense " she said.

Askan blinked, "Am not joking if that's what you think...am dead serious ".

She scoffed.

"Am grateful for want you did but I don't even know you that much and breaking off an engagement with my sister to marry me sounds like more trouble for me than you " she let out.

He beamed.

"So you're considering it?".

"No am not... I was only stating facts. And I don't want to marry anyone especially a man I barely know and is connected to a family I want nothing to do with ".

Aslan sighed.

"It's my mother who organised this all-marriage facade... I wasn't interested in any of it. I was only putting on a show for her and our parents ".

"Huh?".

"Truthfully I was never going to marry her...I was planning on breaking it off on the engagement night but then after I saw you....." his voice lowered. "I needed something to help me keep coming back into their home so I could see you " he explained.

Elianna blinked.

"What are you talking about?...seeing me?. You only saw me once ".

He nodded.

"And that's all it took " he answered.

Aslan moved closer to the bed where she was, Elianna leaned backwards voiding him..but he followed until she could not move anymore.

"Call me crazy or sick anything to justify this behaviour of mine. But am telling you right now that since I saw you that day..." he gently took her hand and placed it upon his chest.

Elianna could feel the loud pumping of his heart.

"Something inside there changed...and I know it sounds stupid but please give me a chance to..".

Before he could finish what he was saying Elianna slapped him hard across the face.

"Get away from me now.... you're a liar just like them " she yelled.

"Elianna " he called to her.

"I said get away from me " She was trembling as tears flowed down her face.

"Am sorry I didn't mean to upset you ". He apologized.

"You think you're the first person to say such words to me, ...lies all lies" she smirked through her tears. "How could you say such lies staring at me with those eyes "

She kept yelling with tears in her eyes.

The nurse heard the noise and walked in, seeing Aslan standing aside watching Elianna's rampage.

She moved taking Elianna's hands trying to calm her down.

"It's okay, sir I think you should leave " said the nurse.

Aslan moved and walked out. He could still hear Elianna's cry as he moved away.

He was confused about what had he done wrong, he had followed how friend's advice perfectly, so what happened to make her react that way?
