Chapter 63: The AllSpark and Transformers

Tom Banenjack led the way forward, heading down a dry, cool passageway with a slight breeze.

After walking a few hundred meters, they arrived at a room set into the rock wall.

Their gaze scanned the room, with a tan sofa and a glass coffee table on the left, while black-and-white photographs of the Seven Primes, the discoverers of the Spark, hung on the right wall.

H'el walked directly to the display platform and looked outside through the glass window.

The Spark was a hundred meters tall, presenting a regular cuboid shape, covered in mysterious unknown language symbols and pictograms. A massive light source on the top illuminated its beauty and mystery.

"Carbon-14 dating estimates that this energy entity arrived on Earth around ten thousand years ago. It was discovered in 1913, and obviously found that it was an extraterrestrial object due to the similarities between the unknown language symbols and pictograms on its surface and parts of NBE-1's."

Tom Banenjack spoke with awe, looking at the Spark and continued, "President Hoover built the dam to conceal it, with a thickness equivalent to four soccer fields. It should be undetectable by anyone or any extraterrestrial race from the outside due to the energy it emits."

H'el raised his right index finger, lowered his glasses to his nose, and his pupils began to dilate as he used his microscopic vision to note all the unknown language symbols and pictograms. Then, he adjusted his pupils further to penetrate the surface of the Spark.

Immediately, H'el's vision blurred, as if countless compound eyes had sprouted, or as if he saw countless shattered fragments falling through the air, revealing images. The densely packed space was curved and folded, containing a vast amount of source code, with strands of code resembling the constant flow of human genetic information.

Even with H'el's vision, he felt somewhat overwhelmed and fatigued by the constant calculations of their arrangement.

These source codes and the transfer arrangements through spatial curvature folding would constitute the basic silicon-based micro-machine particles, essentially the fundamental silicon-based micro-mechanical granules equivalent to the cells of carbon-based life forms.

However, this entity was highly unstable. In H'el's eyes, the AllSpark was simply a stellar core many times larger than the sun, ready to release an enormous amount of source code leakage at any moment due to the curvature folding of its internal space, potentially leading to its destruction.

This kind of destruction wouldn't manifest as an explosive event but rather as damage to this divine creation.

"A clumsy attempt," H'el remarked, comparing the AllSpark to Megatron. Unexpectedly, he discovered that the instability of the Spark had been tampered with.

There were sentient beings within the AllSpark who had altered it with the intention of creating the Transformers.

In other words, the original Spark would create Transformers as they were meant to be, without distinguishing between good and bad, entirely influenced by their subsequent growth.

However, the Spark's source code arrangement had been altered, which not only increased its instability but also introduced some dominant personalities.

The two major factions of the Transformers:

Autobots - Represented by Optimus Prime, embody qualities like justice, courage, peace, and kindness, reflecting the highest ideals of Cybertronian beliefs. Essentially, they are a force for good and order.

Decepticons - Led by Megatron, they represent conquest, destruction, cruelty, and evil, embodying the more aggressive and warlike side of Cybertron's military machines. They are ruthless, selfish, and chaotic.

The Spark, with its altered source code output, was now locked into producing Transformers with the characteristics of the Decepticons, instilling them with traits such as aggression, conquest, and destruction.

This Spark with modified source code arrangements would turn all the mechanical beings it created into members of the Decepticon faction.

"Are there beings trying to use the Spark to create an aggressively inclined mechanical army? Do they seek to conquer something?" H'el raised his index finger, tapping the black frame of his glasses below his nose, then flicked his finger upward, returning the glasses to their position over his eyes.

It seemed like the ambitions of lifeforms who lacked the power to destroy even a single star were nothing but a ludicrous desire to conquer the vast universe.

The universe was immense, and even if they dedicated their entire lives to it, they couldn't explore it all, yet they boasted of conquest.

H'el slowly withdrew his penetrating and microscopic vision. He had no interest in those who boasted of conquering the universe but couldn't even leave their own galaxy. However, now that the Spark was in his hands, he couldn't allow it to fall into the wrong hands.

"Tom, take me to see how the cubic energy is utilized," H'el said with a smile, beginning to exercise his authority as the newly appointed head of Area 7.

Tom Bannejack unquestionably led H'el and Harold away from the observation room to a nearby laboratory.

Inside the laboratory, there was little to see except for the steel walls, which bore marks resembling Wolverine's claws, and a centrally positioned, heavily reinforced glass-sealed experimental platform.

Tom Bannejack ordered the workers outside to secure the laboratory. He then took out a Nokia 6300, opened the chamber of the experimental platform, placed the Nokia 6300 inside, sealed it meticulously, and reminded everyone to put on protective goggles.

The equipment was rudimentary but functional. It extracted surface energy from the Spark and transmitted it through a transfer conduit into the reinforced glass-sealed space.

The energy transfer conduit was connected to the Nokia 6300.

*Sizzle*

A burst of electric arcs flashed, causing the Nokia 6300 to tremble. It sprouted three legs on each side, forming mobile armor-like arrangements of keys. The audio receiver port retracted into its chest, forming a cannon barrel. Bright metallic circuits and wires rolled out from the inside, forming a robotic head with laser-red eyes. The Nokia 6300 Transformers began to act restlessly, continuously ramming into the reinforced glass, darting around at high speed, firing tiny projectiles, leaving marks on the reinforced glass, and extending six small robotic arms from its body to form drills. It drilled vigorously into the reinforced glass, but when it proved ineffective, it activated the audio receiver port cannon on its chest, emitting a frequency sound wave that cracked the reinforced glass.

Tom Bannejack pressed the electric shock device, directing a turbulent electric current onto the experimental platform. The agitated current coursed through the Nokia 6300 Transformers within, making it tremble. Its laser eyes flickered, and finally, it collapsed onto the table, lifeless.

"I can't wait to start my research," H'el removed his goggles, his eyes gleaming with a mix of astonishment and excitement.

Just now, he had witnessed the process of the Spark creating Transformers. The Spark endowed every metal particle with tiny Sparks, similar to cell nuclei, forming the basic units of silicon-metal-based cells. These Sparks served as the nucleus and mitochondria of the Transformers' metallic cellular elements, storing genetic information for individual Transformers and providing energy for various cellular activities.

The primary energy source of these Sparks was the core Spark, much like a human heart, pumping energy throughout the body.

Hence, Transformers had two critical points of vulnerability: the core Spark within the chest, functioning like a heart, and the consciousness located within their heads.

If the core Spark suffered fatal damage or was removed, the tiny Sparks within each cell would be extinguished, resulting in the death of the Transformer. Similarly, if the head was destroyed, eliminating consciousness, the Transformer would also die.
