62 Chapter 62: Please Lead The Way

Hoover Dam is a critical project for the comprehensive development of the Colorado River water resources in the United States. It is located at the Black Canyon on the border of Nevada and Arizona, serving various purposes such as flood control, irrigation, power generation, navigation, and water supply.

The famous Las Vegas, often considered the mother of Las Vegas, owes its existence to Hoover Dam.

The sun was shining brightly, and the sky gradually transitioned from the distance to a deep blue.

A dry and chilly wind blew through the area.

A black Cadillac drove along the deserted roads of Nevada and stopped in a temporary parking lot near the Hoover Dam.

The rear door of the car opened, and a man in polished leather shoes stepped out. His strong legs, covered by tailored trousers, gave him an air of grace and refinement. He wore a well-fitted suit, black rectangular glasses, and his black hair cascaded down. H'el, with a smile on his lips, exuded an additional air of intellectual elegance.

He stepped out of the car onto the road, and his profound eyes gazed at the narrow riverbed and the steep Hoover Dam on both sides.

H'el was greeted by Harold, who led two well-dressed individuals to meet the Cadillac as soon as they saw it approaching.

"Hello, Dr. H'el. I will be handling anything related to Sector Seven for you," Harold, with a smiling face and sharp eyes, said as he looked at H'el.

In his mind, Harold was evaluating Dr. H'el, who had suddenly appeared.

Sector/Zone/Area Seven, located beneath Hoover Dam, was a highly secretive government department, even more classified than the highest level of secrecy. It was established 80 years ago by a presidential order from President Hoover himself and was known only to a 7-member military group composed of successive Secretaries of Defense.

The sudden secret directive, jointly signed by the President and the Secretary of Defense, entrusting everything in Zone Seven to the arriving Dr. H'el, left Harold with a sense of confusion.

However, he was a loyal patriot, dedicated to his country, filled with a sense of mission, responsibility, and justice. He strictly followed the orders of the Secretary of Defense and the President.

"Hello, Harold. I appreciate your assistance with everything that comes next," H'el responded with a smile, meeting Harold's gaze.

"Duty calls!" replied Harold, temporarily setting aside his doubts and leading the way forward.

H'el followed Harold calmly as they entered the Hoover Dam. Inside, there were architectural styles typical of the 1930s, various art decorations, sleek modern designs, and patterned floors designed by Native American residents—all clever disguises.

Descending deep below into the cement, the elevator slowly descended with insufficient lighting. As they walked through dim and slightly dark corridors, H'el began to see a metallic figure frozen in ice.

Tom Banenjack, a slender-faced scientist from the Advanced Research Department, started explaining, "Dr. H'el, what you're about to see is one of the deepest secrets."

"We believe that when it leaped over the Arctic, Earth's gravitational pull disrupted its navigation system, causing it to crash into the Arctic. It was frozen in the ice, likely thousands of years ago."

"In 1934, we transported it here and named it NBE-1."

As Tom Banenjack explained, the group gradually emerged from the corridor. Looking up, they saw white frosty mist continuously spraying down from various parts of the ceiling. Within the freezing mist, embedded in the ice, was the imposing and icy figure of Megatron.

Megatron's steel frame in the ice exuded a chilly and imposing aura, with a strange texture and a domineering temperament. Even within the ice, it still gave an awe-inspiring feeling.

"Dr. H'el, what you're looking at now is the source of modernization."

"Microchips, lasers, space travel, cars, engines, all reverse-engineered from it. Our rapid development in the new modern era as humans is owed to it."

Almost every time a 'newcomer' arrived, Tom Banenjack would explain this. With each explanation, he felt more profoundly what the frozen NBE-1 represented.

The future of humanity!

Without any surprises, while explaining, Tom Banenjack turned to look at Dr. H'el, naturally noticing the astonishment in his eyes. Though slightly less impressed than others, the sincerity of H'el's wonder about extraterrestrial life shone through his facial expression.

"In the universe, the existence of such unique life forms is truly astonishing."

Even though H'el had faced and fought against some of the most intelligent life forms in his universe, like Brainiac, he couldn't help but be awed by what Megatron represented. Looking at these cell units formed from silicon-based high-molecular compounds combined with metal, they were fundamentally different from carbon-based organic cellular life. The agility, adaptability, and energy exchange metabolism with the outside world were unbelievably strong, and their strength and freedom in mechanical assembly and modification were simply astounding.

He couldn't help but marvel at the greatness of the Creator of this world, for crafting such unique life forms.

If one were to find representatives for organic and mechanical beings:

The representative for the organic would undoubtedly be beings like Kryptonians, with the ability to strengthen their genes merely by basking in sunlight.

As for mechanical intelligent life, even someone like Brainiac couldn't be considered a representative.

To represent the mechanical category, one would need a body composed of mechanical intelligence and silicon-metal-based cells. Only then could it truly be considered a sentient metal life form. It was the combination of the physical and intellectual aspects that represented the essence of the mechanical.

Transformers!

'Coming to this universe is truly fortunate,' H'el sincerely praised as he traveled through the vortex, resolving his urgent needs perfectly.

He could now look forward to the epic showdown between Brainiac and his own super mothership in the cosmos, which promised to be a terrifying spectacle.

This time, when he returned to the DC universe, the time it would take to complete his super mothership would be astonishingly short.

The DC Earth was not far off now.

Kal-El... How I miss you.

Tom Banenjack, a member of the research department, also looked at Megatron, showing a different scale of admiration compared to H'el.

In this moment, he felt that H'el shared his appreciation for the wonders of the universe and the miracle of human birth. He developed a newfound liking for H'el.

Harold, the military man, just gave the two of them a strange glance, not understanding what they were so impressed about. Especially Tom Banenjack, who had been at this base for close to a dozen years and had seen NBE-1 countless times. Why was he still marveling? It was just a robot tool.

"Dr. H'el, you must understand the origin of this form of life," Tom said, feeling that H'el was a kindred spirit and couldn't help but express his excitement.

H'el responded with a smile. "Lead the way, Tom."
