New Begining?

Author's note (To make your lives reading this easier!):

This chapter covers a change of POV and this might be in a different time and future volumes might switch up perspectives too.

Story

A flash of light brighter than anything I've ever seen. I thought I've gone blind by that, but as it faded away I saw my hand trying to reach the blue sky. The grass floor is so comfortable...

"WHERE THE HELL AM I?!" I heard Rex's scream from afar

His right... where are we? With that realization, I got up instantly to find that our bus was gone. There were only endless fields of grass stretching out to as far as the eyes could see with Rex lying down a few meters away from me.

This is just like those fantasy games.

I smiled thinking I'd have another chance at life as I shook the grass out of my black hair.

Rex looked around to find me staring at him. Well, this is awkward...

Rex, a shut-in that only shows up to class when its something important. He is what I would call "the perfect protagonist". Well for another trashy isekai that is.

"Kai!" He ran full speed towards me repeating my name. So annoying...

"Hey, Rex," I said with my usual charming smile. I hate this man, but if anyone else is here I'd rather not snap.

Observing the situation a little more, I found a path that seems to be leading to somewhere. I think it's a safe bet to say that we're not in our world anymore. The sky is too clear and we can survive without masks on.

"What should we do now?" He asked me

There is a chance that our classmates are here too. Maybe we're just lucky about the fact that we were spawned near each other.

"Maybe we should look around. We might find Sara or Dan or anyone else" I suggested in an optimistic tone.

Honestly, I think it's a waste of time. Sure there's a possibility that they're here, but it doesn't make sense that the plot would set this up without playing with the concept a little.

"Good idea!" Rex replied

Is it possible for this man child to stop shouting?

There were some trees near us so I told him I'd look there. How stupid is he? I looked on in disbelief as he tried to find a grown person underneath a rock. While waiting for his adrenaline to run out I tried some weird movements and speech to open the menu.

"Open Menu" My stats open. It was as I thought. Like an Open-world Game. So we can do anything in this world as long as our numbers are high enough.

This is starting to sound interesting...

"I can't find anyone! Where are you, Kai!" This human rice cake will break my ears someday

"Right here! I CAN'T FIND ANYONE TOO!" I tried to shout louder and more obnoxious as revenge.

I stepped out of the tree's shade to see Rex running with smoke behind his back. Is that cartoon physics? He ran straight for me and grabbed my collar.

As he dragged me across the grass field I realized that he wouldn't be able to do this in real life. I'm way too heavy to drag around this easily.

At first, I thought this was a revival of the Truman Show, but now... even if human technology has gone far enough to make the menu. It can't do the same to gravity and it still can't replicate the senses like this.

Reality finally sunk in... this probably a dream right? Any moment now I'll wake up. Well, if its a dream then I hope I'll wake up.

Oh, wait... why am I being dragged anyways?

"Why are you running?"

"You can't tell? There's like 5 wild boars after us!"

While I was being dragged my shirt picked up a pebble. Hmm... Hmm... HMM...

"Put me down" I have an idea

"Are insane?"

"Just put me down I'll be alright" I smirked

Rex dropped me and continued running. "Thank you for your sacrifice!!!!!" He screamed like a girl crying.

Alright, pebble of pig smiting... I choose you!

I threw the pebble as hard as I could at the leading boar. Time to roll a nat 20 gosh darn it!

I am not dead! I'm so sorry for the long hiatus, but it's near my finals and I'm still not over the volume 2 burnout that I experienced -_-. Hope you enjoyed and as always I welcome all criticism with reasoning! I always aim to improve my writing and I'd love to learn new things :)

PS I'll try my best to upload weekly!
