Chapter 6

Dahlia angrily walked up the stairs of Care Care Hospital. If there was one thing she hated it was advanced public disgrace. She knew her coursemates and their leaking mouths. If wouldn't be long before people began to call her a boyfriend snatcher and on her way to the hospital she got ten messages from ten different people asking if she really stole Lucita's boyfriend.

She had nothing to do with Richard if not because he was the Doctor assigned to her and Lucita had to take her strange behavior topic to him and then he learnt of her becoming a vampire. Left for her she was going to have nothing to do with him but then, Lucita came and brought in her boyfriend snatcher topic.

"What can I do for you Miss?" a Nurse said following her from behind

"Do you know what you can do for me?" Dahlia asked

"Get lost!" She screamed startling the Nurse who turned around and walked away. She barged into Richard's room without knocking. The way she behaved was proof to Richard that all was not well with her.

"Dahlia, are you alright?" he asked getting up from his chair. He was scared Lucita had told her he was the one who bit her.

Dahlia walked straight to where he stood and pulled him by the shirt.

"Tell your brat of a girlfriend called Lucita that next time she dares to cross my part or make me look bad in front of people I wouldn't hesitate to make sure I drain every single drop of blood from that fragile looking body of hers!" She ranted

"Calm down Dahlia" Richard requested and tried to touch her. Lucita hadn't told. Yet.

"Don't you dare lay those filthy hands on me" Dahlia said and pushed him away

He landed with his back hitting the wall. He looked up at Dahlia in surprise. Wasn't this the same Dahlia he left just this morning? There was pure rage in her eyes.

She stormed out of the room angrily banging the door behind her. Richard sat in his chair and placed his hands on his head and rubbed it down to his face. He wondered why Lucita was going around telling people she was his girlfriend.

He breathed heavily and was glad Lucita hadn't told her the truth. With those thoughts he took a deep breath and in a flash was out of the hospital.

Dahlia walked angrily into her house. The house she shared with Lucita before she decided to be like The Flash and go after Richard. She had not fed since that morning and her hunger was rising.

"Darn it" she cursed under her breath as she sped out of her house to the streets. As she got out she stopped when she saw two women coming out of a departmental store.

As she made to walk up to them she felt the wind blow passed her face. She stopped abruptly and stood there for a minute or two before she realized that a vampire had passed.

She abandoned the women and started running towards the woods where the vampire was headed. If it was really a vampire, he might have answers to her questions, Dahlia thought, or he could even be the one who bit her

Richard got into the middle of the woods and his eyes began to roam around.

He saw a wild pig and immediately went after it. Holding it by its neck, Richard dipped his long, sharp fangs into its neck and began to feed on the poor creature.

Dahlia on the other hand got into the woods and walked about hoping to find the vampire or hoping the vampire would find her. She began getting a familiar scent and it was the cologne someone she knew wore.

"Who was it?"

She ran with speed almost around the woods until she saw a man bending towards an animal. With the way he was panting it showed he was feeding on it.

"How can a vampire feed on an animal?" she thought

He was wearing a lab coat and she knew at once that meant he was a Doctor. She ran up to him and pulled him up with force turning him towards her.

As the man in question turned, lo and behold it was Richard with his mouth full of blood and shock written all over his face.

Dahlia let go of his shirt and fell down on the floor on her butt in surprise.

"Ric...ard?" she stuttered

"What's going on here?" She asked

"I can explain" he answered walking towards her

Dahlia crawled back with her hands as he stepped forward. Tch, like she wasn't a vampire as well.

"Please, let me explain" he pleaded. Dahlia shook her head vigorously and stood up.

"You are a vampire, what's there to explain Richard?" She asked

"The thing I never wanted was to find out that you were one too" she added

"It's not what you think. It was an accident" he said

"It was an accident? It's always an accident with you Richard, no wonder your brother said I didn't even know you" Dahlia said

"He was right. I don't know you" she said firmly and sped off.

Richard dejectedly sat on the floor with his face in his hands. He brought out a handkerchief from his pocket and wiped his face. Getting up, he looked around and raced out of the woods.
