The table was silent and Darren contemplated if it's alright for him to break some ice or just let it be.
He was still gripping his parents' hands and trying to convince his emotions not to come hurling out. He cannot be seen crying in public. He cannot be weak in front of his parents. He needs to be strong for them so he tried to fought the boiling feelings bottling up.
He blinked and decided to look back up and the first he had seen was the twin's unreadable and yet a little glassy expression. They eyed each other for a second before he noticed the way both of them clenched their jaw.
There was a slight tension over their shoulders, an implication that they have a lot going on in their own minds. Until Tim's expression lightened and he cleared his throat, "Everything will be alright. My twin will handle your case very well and the next thing you know, you're all out of jail"
