To a great Divine Power, the idea of life and death was no longer scary or menacing. As long as they had made the necessary preparations, dying hundreds of thousands of times was not an issue, let alone one death. Even if they died, they could continue to train tirelessly and improve themselves indefinitely until they were ready to resurrect.
To really and truly kill a great Divine Power, one had to first cause them to fall from the great Divine Power Realm.
