Flayers had never been good people. In fact, they are the bogey men of the Winterland.
Children stopped crying at their names, even the birds stopped chittering when their flags passed by. Vultures roamed in the sky above them, for there will always be a trail of dead bodies where Flayers pass.
It did not matter Vultures are not really cold place birds; people believed it, for with as many dead bodies around, vultures must fly back from all corners of the world.
Surprisingly, in the case of Flayers, the stereotype is true to the last 'T', in fact, one could say, they were worse.
In the age of heroes, others starved to death, while Flayers feasted on the dead bodies. They survived till the end of winter, and their strength grew.
When the new age began, Flayers discovered that Cannibalism was not in style. It's alright if it's not in style, the problem is, the person who doesn't like it has a stronger fist than themselves.
