The Dead One

I wake up looking around at the endless skeletal trees with the undead wandering in the slight mist. I begin to walk forward and take the soul fire from the skeletons eyes to eat nourishing my soul flame. I then look up wondering whether I shall ever recover my memories. I walk up to the closest tree connecting to the death energy within it and begin to wake it up causing the skeletal tree to pull it's white roots out of the ground.

It turns and looks me in the eyes with intelligence and the bark rasps speaking it's language through the movement of its bark. I cannot understand it like the many others before it but I simply point and tell it to move through motion with my hand and it goes where I tell it to replant itself

I had finally completed the formation that will pull death energy here allowing the dead forest to grow again like I had been for the past few eons this formation was almost a 1,000 km across it being a pure circle with Gems infused with death energy.

I felt the pure surge of death energy as soon as I stepped within the circle I also saw the Dark Treant nod at me before it began to sleep. I walked past many formations I had created finally getting back to the center after ten years. I saw that an undead giant had taken up residence in the center of the circle. Angering me slightly that they were taking advantage of my absence.

So I tore his soul fire from one of his eyes consuming it in front of the giant over 30 meters tall it falling to the ground bowing at me to beg for its mercy and so I left it alone so that it may wake the others to not take my place in the place with the densest death energy. I began to look myself over in the nearby small river of Lifeless Water which reflected my pure white bones which had not changed at all.

My skeletal humanoid form stayed the same without gaining in anything frustrating me for I had contained within so much death energy I could create 20 Liches without a problem but I had not evolve to the next evolution like all the other undead who became knights, Liches or abominations simply by touching the center of my current formation the undead giant would need so much more Death energy to evolve but i envied him for i needed even more.

My memories of a life within a living forest laughing with my family their faces blurred and faded as if I a dream. I see them dance and play talking to them with a soft happy voice when it flashes to a gruesome scene of me holding the heads of my children the forest burning behind me with a soldier wearing the kingdoms garb looks at me spitting "Filthy Druids you are stopping the development of our kingdom be glad we were merciful and simply killed you all"

I felt an arrow pierce my head but the memories didn't end there instead I saw a necromancer ran in from the forest putting out the fire with his death energy he cast a death curse on the surviving soldiers

he came to my head putting back onto my body with a sad smile saying "You taught me that Life and Death are entwined so why did you leave before me friend." the last thing I saw is the necromancer cutting off his own head.

The system then appeared which every undead I had absorbed the soul and memories of had seen after their first evolution.

Evolution Options

Deathly Druid Skeleton - A druid who was once the protector and expander of Forests now corrupted and turned into the undead has embarked on a new path relying on the Dead Forests which usually cannot contain Undead energy now thrive within it due to the corrupted formations

Formation Skeleton - Formations have now become a part of you meaning you will carry every formation you have every created within you radiating their effects around you at half effectiveness.

ArchLich - Most are living when they choose this path but due to your overabundance of death energy you will evolve to the final evolution of a lich the wielders of army's.

Undead Forest - You are no longer a skeleton within the forest but have merged within the undead Forest simply to create what's know as a withered heart at the center of your forest you gain more power the more area your forest covers.
