First day at School

The days passed

Brooks and Miguel were working in the Dojo. Miguel was cleaning and Brooks was fixing the wires in the wall. Johnny walked out of his office and said "Brooks. You're going to school." Brooks stopped and said "Huh?" Miguel looked up and said "Where?"

Johnny said "West Valley High. The same place I went." Brooks sighed and went back to fixing the wires as he said "Whatever, man." Johnny grinned and threw a letter onto his desk before cracking open his beer. Brook looked over and Johnny said "No beers." Brooks grumbled and went back to fixing wires.

The next day

Brooks and Miguel were standing in the cafeteria at school. Brooks had his hair slicked back and an open button up over a black t-shirt with jeans and sneakers. He was pretty muscular and handsome. Miguel was standing next to him and mumbled "Where we gonna sit?" Brooks scratched his neck and said "I don't know, but I'm itching for a cig."

Miguel shook his head and said "Sensei told me to keep an eye on you. No smoking at school." Brooks grumbled and followed Miguel to a table with two kids. Miguel said "Can we sit here?" the kids looked up and passed Miguel before looking at Brooks.

One of the kids gulped and said "Do we have an option?" Brooks chuckled and said "Shut up, nerd." Miguel looked at Brooks, who clicked his tongue and sat down with his tray. He was sitting next to one of the kids with a scar on his lip.

Miguel sat down next to Brooks and started eating. Brooks turned to the kid next to him and said "What happened to your lip, get in a fight? Pretty cool scar if you ask me. I got a nasty one on my ribs..." The kid was flustered and Brooks pulled up his shirt and showed the scar on his ribs, as well as his muscles as he added "Fucking guy had a hidden knife. What an asshole."

The other three were stunned. Miguel changed the subject and said "So what are your names?" the pale kid said "I'm Dimitri, this is Eli." Miguel said "Miguel, and this is Brooks..." he was suddenly distracted by a few girls passing by.

Dimitri suddenly said "Stop torturing yourself. They're the most popular girls in school, maybe Hercules over here has a shot but you? No chance." Brooks chuckled and looked over at the girls, Miguel said "Have you ever talked to them?" Dimitri laughed and said "Yeah, we hang out all the time! We even make out after school!"

Miguel rolled his eyes and Eli suddenly said "Oh god, they're looking over here. Probably making fun of me." Brooks slapped his back and said "So what? She's a prude. Who cares what she thinks, lip." Eli said "Lip?" Brooks nodded and said "That's your new name." Eli was stunned and couldn't reply.

Miguel suddenly stood up and walked over to the table of girls. Dimitri said "What is he doing?" Brooks grinned and said "Striking first. Go get him, Abuela!" Dimitri looked over and said "You know Abuela means Grandma, right?"

Brooks chuckled and said "Who cares. The kid's fired up." Dimitri shook his head and said "Muscle brain. I see." Brooks gave him a look and said "Can it string bean. I'm smarter than you for sure." Dimitri chuckled and said nothing. Miguel came back and sat down, Dimitri said "How did it go?"

Miguel made a mocking face and Brooks looked over and said "Is that.." Miguel nodded and Brooks stood up before walking over. Miguel said "Brooks, don't!" Brooks waved over his shoulder and said "Chill Abuela. I got this." Miguel sighed.

Brooks walked to the table and pulled the fat kid's collar and threw him to the floor before slamming a palm on the table and looking at the asian kid with a grin as he said "Well, well, well. If it isn't Discount Jackie Chan! How's your face doin?"

The girls looked at Brooks and the asian kid stayed quiet as he looked down. Brooks glance at the fat kid and said "Boo." the fat kid scrambled to his feet and ran away, Brooks laughed and turned back to the asian kid with a malicious grin.

The girl sitting next to him said "Kyler, who's this guy?" the asian kid didn't answer and Brooks said "Come on, tough guy. Tell her." the asian kid said nothing and Brooks smiled as he looked at the girls and said "I'm his father, and he should be studying right now. Isn't that right son?"

The girls were stunned and Kyler said "Yes." Brooks stopped him and said "Yes, what?" Kyler grit his teeth and said "Yes, father." before leaving with clenched fists. Brooks laughed as he left, before turning his attention to the blonde as he said "Hey, runway. Bad mouth my boy Lip again, and we're gonna have a problem."

The blonde said nothing and just blushed a bit but the brunette to her left said "Who are you to say that?" Brooks turned to her and said "Brooks Lawrence, and you are..." the girl said "Samantha Larusso." Brooks raised a brow and said "Oh! The car salesman's daughter. Stay out of my business princess."

He leaned over the table and held the blonde girl's chin as he said "We good?" the blonde girl blushed harder and nodded. Brooks smiled and let go before leaving the table, towards outside. Miguel was stunned and saw Brooks fish out a cigarette, he chuckled and shook his head before eating again.

Brooks sat outside and lit a cigarette while looking at the sky and sighing. Suddenly he heard footsteps and said "Miguel, can I just smoke in peace?" a voice said "Spare a cig?" Brooks turned to see a beautiful girl with brown hair styled in braids. Brooks smirked and said "Beautiful girl like you is smoking? Don't you know it's bad for you?"

The girl smirked and sat down as she said "Can't be so bad if a guy like you is doing it." Brooks grinned and took a drag before pulling the girl's head and transferred the smoke with his lips. The girl smiled and closed her eyes before pulling back and exhaling the smoke.

Brooks handed her the cigarette and said "Brooks." she took the cigarette and put it in her mouth as she said "Tory." Brooks grinned and stood up saying "Cool. I'll see you around, Tory." before leaving. Tory watched him go and exhaled a mouthful of smoke before smirking.

A while later

Brooks and Miguel were training in the Dojo with Johnny. Brooks was hammering a dummy with his fists when Johnny got a call on his cell phone. Johnny stepped away and answered the call "Yeah?.. What happened now? What?! Put him on the phone." Brooks looked over and heard "Robby, you're doing drugs now? Do you want to flush your life down the toilet?"

Brooks stopped and walked over. He took the phone from Johnny and said "Hello?" he heard a female voice saying "Who?" Brooks said "Hand the phone to that punk." there was a silence and then Brooks heard "Who is this?"

Brooks said "What's up, kid." Robby said "You're with dad?" Brooks said "Yeah, not a bad gig. You're doing drugs? Which ones?" Robby was silent before saying "What do you want Brooks." Brooks said "I hear my little brother is fucking himself up. Maybe you should calm down and go take care of that skank."

Johnny said "Brooks." Brooks looked at Johnny before saying "Stay out of trouble, kid. Don't tell mom where I am, last thing I want is to see her." then he handed the phone to Johnny and went back to the dummy.

Johnny went back to talking on the phone and Brooks said "Alright Abuela. You know what you look like right now?" Miguel said "What?" Brooks said "A wet rag, bro. Where the anger? The primal rage!" Miguel was speechless.

Brook got serious and said "Listen Miguel, right now. That asian sensation kid is talking to that girl you like. Are you gonna let that slide?!" Miguel said "But he-" Brooks shouted "Quiet!" Miguel and Johnny were startled, Johnny looked over and Brooks said "He's moving in on your girl! You know who let's that happen? Losers! Are you going to offer the girl up on a silver platter, or are you going to beat the shit out of the guy?"

Miguel was silent and Brooks punched the dummy in the head as he said "This is the Asian that she's cravin' now what are you going to do to him?" Miguel punched the dummy and Brooks shouted "Harder! He laughed at you! He called you Rhea! He wasted the Pepto Bismol for your Abuela!"

Miguel grinded his teeth and started smashing his fist into the dummy. Brooks stepped back and grinned as he said "He kissed her!" Bang! "He's at her house right now!" BANG! "They're in her bedroom!" BANG! BANG! BANG! Miguel went off on the dummy.

Johnny walked over and said "Good teaching kiddo." Brooks said "He just needs a push. That asian kid goes to our school." Johnny said "Oh yeah?" Brooks chuckled and said "Yeah, he called me dad today." Johnny looked at Brooks, who grinned and they both laughed.

A while later

Brooks was sweeping the mat and Miguel was cleaning the toilet, when someone walked into the Dojo. Brooks looked over and said "Welcome to Cobra Kai. Aren't you a little old to come for Karate lessons?" the man looked at Brooke and said "Who are you?"

Brook kept sweeping and grumbled "Even old men are rude nowadays..." Johnny came out of the office and said "Welcome to Cobra K- What are you doing here?" the man looked at Johnny and said "I guess some things never change."

Johnny said "What's that supposed to mean, Larusso." Brooks looked up and said "Larusso? Like that chick from school?" the man looked over and said "You're Brooks Lawrence? Johnny's kid?" Brooks nodded and held the broom with two hands at the tip, he rested his chin on top of his hands and said "You're the Car guy right? What was the name... Daniel Larusso?"

Daniel looked at Brooks and said "Is this what your father is teaching you? To jump kids at a mini mart?" Brooks frowned and said "Watch it, old man. I have no idea what you're talking about." Daniel looked at Johnny and said "Apple doesn't fall far from the tree I see."

Johnny frowned and said "What do you want Larusso." Daniel said "Tell your kid to stay away from my daughter's friends." Brook shouted "I haven't seen any of your daughter's friends, plus I wouldn't hurt a woman..." he paused before mumbling "Well if they're a fighter, I guess that's different..."

Johnny and Daniel gave Brooks a look, Daniel said "You jumped 4 kids at a mini mart! What do you mean?!" Brooks tilted his head and said "I only beat the shit out of 4 scumbags who were picking on a weak kid. Maybe listen to both sides of a story before jumping to conclusions. Don't car salesmen listen to the customer? Jeez man."

Johnny laughed and said "I was watching, Larusso. Maybe you don't know your daughter as well as you think. How about you get your family in order before coming after mine eh?" Daniel seethed and said "What did you say?!" as he stepped on the mat and stopped 3 feet away from Johnny.

Brooks broke the broom in half and held the wooden pole towards Daniel as he said "Watch it, old man. I don't know what beef you have with my dad, but you better not test my patience. I'm not a good person."

Johnny frowned and said "Brooks, enough!" Brooks clicked his tongue and backed off. He looked at the brook shaft in his hands and mumbled "Man I could've just twisted it out. Fuck me." Johnny and Daniel felt their eyes twitch and Brooks went to get duct tape to fix the broom while muttering "It was still badass.."

Johnny felt his mouth twitch and Daniel looked at Johnny before saying "Just stay away from my daughter and her friends. You and me, we're not done." after leaving his words, he left the Dojo. Miguel walked out of the bathroom and said "I'm finished cleaning the toilets, Sensei."

Johnny waved and said "Good job, Miguel. Brooks what was that, man." Brooks shrugged and said "Whatever." Johnny said "No threatening people with sharp objects." Brooks was stunned and said "But, you!" Johnny shouted "Quiet!" Brooks and Miguel tensed up and Johnny nodded as he said "Alright. Let's go home."

Miguel and Brooks let out a breath and Johnny added "After another 50 push-ups." Brooks and Miguel groaned and Johnny laughed.
