[WHY DID YOU STOP TRYING]

Being the only female who is a first born from the descendants of the second King and the Great One, was not what bothered me, but the duties attached to it was what I couldn't stop thinking about. Especially that of the curse.

How can a single female with a supernatural power of light be able to control and defeat a whole kingdom with dark supernatural powers, and yet defend herself, her kingdom and her destine husband.

With the help of Lora and the scroll given to me by her, I got to know that the owner of the life am living now is the 40th generation of the Great One, and the daughter of King Nephai and Queen Mahalia. The only surviving descendants of the second King of Celestial Kingdom, King Kenneth, with the purest blood.

" Only if I know where the owner of this life is, I would've put a stop to this meaningless life am living now." I said to myself as I kept pacing to and fro in the study room. I had ordered the ladies out with the pretends of resting, but my mind couldn't stay focused.

stepping out of the study room, I went to the corridor in front of my residence, I found the ladies in waiting there with Chesa and I was glad I found them. A lot was on my mind and I needed someone to pour it to before I go insane.

As soon as I got there, I saw a man riding a horse into the palace, he looked like something or someone was after him. Like a ball he rolled from the running horse, and run to me as fast as his legs could carry him.

" Your Majesty, wonders is happening in the city, no body know if it's something good or bad coming our way. The man said, kneeling on one leg and Bowing his head with his right hand on his left chest, and the left palm resting on the floor.

Lora, Chesa, Lucia and the other ladies turn to my direction, waiting for me to respond to the new comer, but I had known idea how I was going to solve a problem with the state I was in.

" Tell me what exactly is happening, did someone die? I asked the new comer, looking down on him with eyes full of fear of what he might say to me.

" No Your Majesty, nobody died, but Your Majesty, we don't know how it happened or who might have caused it. All the flowers in the kingdom are disappearing, we can't tell what might have caused it so we think it was caused by a magic powers or a supernatural been." The new comer explained as he kept kneeling.

Lora, Chesa and I exchanged looks, knowing very well what the cause of the missing flowers is. The three of us rushed to my room leaving the other shock and worried. I knew I had to do something fast before things get worse, but what exactly was I to do.

" Your Highness, I told you something was bound to happen since the color of your hair changed." I heard Lora's voice ringing in my ears, reminding me of what she said in the morning. It was as if she was talking to herself but she knew I could hear her anyway.

Walking as fast as I could, I left the two ladies behind, reaching my room before them. Not like I was surprised with what I saw, but I got the shock of my life. Behind my window from the lower grounds was a field of all kinds of flowers. some I haven't even seen before I my entire life.

The only thing behind the window which remains as it was on the ground, was the biggest ancient tree behind the queen's residence. Yet the magical flowers took possession of the soil beneath it, making it look like an only tree on a bream land.

I opened my mouth in awe, not sure what to do or even say, as my heartbeat started rising and I could feel sweat forming on my face. It was a beautiful sight to see, but it scared me of what it meant. Chesa and Lora run to the room and stood behind me, and I could hear them opening their mouth in awe just like I did when I saw what happened.

" Oh Great One, please help my mum to calm down before anything bad happens, else we'll all be in trouble." I didn't hear anyone saying, but I could feel in my head that it was Chesa's silence prayer. Could I have possibly hear her thought? I had no time to think of that.

"What am I to bo Lora, I don't know how to undo the wishes I made, and if this is the cause of my hair changing color, then I think there's more to come as you told me." Turning around, I said to Lora in fright, almost crying out.

" The do's shall be undone the same way it was created, but if it has to be reversed, then a sacrifice is required. Your Majesty, that is what the spell book says." Lora said with a renewed strength.

Chesa and I exchanged looks and then turn to Lora, waiting for her to say something about what kind of sacrifice needs to be done, but she seems to have no idea on what to do. I repeated the phrase severally, trying to get the meaning behind it but couldn't.

Stepping out of the room, I walked back to the compound with Lora and Chesa running behind me. I wasn't sure how, but I knew I had to handle the issues with my physical knowledge, and stop depending on the supernatural powers of mine that I didn't know anything about.

Getting to the corridor, I found the new comer waiting for me still on his knees. I couldn't tell if it was out of respect for the Queen or because of the fear they have of her. Whichever it was, I didn't like it one bit.

"The missing flowers, do they belong to anyone in particular?" I asked the new comer who wouldn't lift his head to look at me in the face even once.

" Your Majesty, some belongs to about ten flower farmers who's fields are close to the palace, and the others were missing from the gardens and backyards of the citizens." The man said, still in the same position.

"Everyone who those missing flowers are important to, should meet me now behind my residence." I said to the man and left him there on his knees.

Half an hour after I got to the now flower land behind my residence, about fifty or more men and women came joining me and my ladies in waiting. Some had surprised faces and others with mixed feelings after seeing the bream land I was standing on.

"Get as much flowers as you can and replant them on your fields, from which flowers are missing, I'll be visiting in days time to inspect it." I said and turn to leave when I heard them saying in unison, " Yes Your Majesty."

I got to my room and went straight to the bathroom, stripping myself off the heavy dress, I went into the room size pool for a bath. I took in a deep breath and allowed my body to sink in the warm water after closing my eyes.

I felt my body floating after a while and it was as if I was not in the water anymore, I couldn't hear nor feel anything around me, even my breath felt faint. Opening my eyes with force, I found myself in a place I didn't dream of going back to or ever seeing again in my life.

Darkness, total and absolute darkness, one that you can feel in your palms when you try to hold, was the only thing I could see in my surroundings. Kicking my naked body I tried to move upwards, maybe I could see the lights I saw the last time I was here.

I moved my body as fast and hard as I could, trying to reach out to the light I couldn't see from where I was, wishing I'll be saved soon. After draining all my strength, I noticed it was pointless for me to try, because maybe I was not where I was the last time, and I might not get saved this time as well.

"Why did you stop trying? Move ahead, you'll find it soon." From the darkness, a strange manly voice said to me. I looked around to see if I could find anyone, but the darkness that covered my sight was stronger than my will to see the owner of the voice.

Out of shock and fear, I started kicking my legs and arms again, trying all I possibly could to get out of where I was. "Your Majesty, Your Majesty are you okay, Your Majesty" I heard Lora and Lucia my ladies in waiting calling me, but I could not respond as I kept trying to free myself from the immense darkness.

Forcing my eyes open, I found myself in the arms of Lora, and Lucia was over me as if she was looking for something in my eyes. I looked at my body and thankfully, I was covered in a light silk robe which got to my knee.

"What happened to me Lora?" I asked and I knew I sounded as if Lora was the cause of everything that was happening to me, but I needed to be like that if I want the truth from her. She knew a lot about my current life than me myself and everyone.
