Tristan was gone when I woke up, and Kieran was still fast asleep in the tent.
Rolling onto my side, I turned my head toward the zipper of the tent. My gaze flickered to Kieran, whose eyes were shut tightly. He was sleeping on his back with his arms spread to the sides. A small pain cracked through my chest as I sat up.
I gently ran my fingers through my hair, blinking away the blurriness from my vision. Then, all of a sudden, a loud scream shook me from my thoughts. I unzipped the entrance of the tent and looked outside to see that the camp was in chaos.
I reached out to Hayley through the link. What's going on?
Something horrible. The camp is under attack.
A sudden lump formed at the back of my throat, souring my mood further.
