My eyes widened in shock. Why wasn't Kieran wearing his bracelet? And what the hell was he doing out here? The guard was supposed to be watching over him. Where was the guard?

"Tristan," I called out, sitting up on the ground. "Where is your bracelet?"

He didn't respond to me. His gaze was fixed on my neck where the Vampire had bitten me. I was in so much pain, and I knew he could feel it through the bond we shared.

The last time Kieran had gone without his bracelet, his magic had slipped, and he had set the kitchen on fire.

I rushed towards him, looking around for any sign of the bracelet. My eyes widened in shock. The Vampires who had attacked our camp all lay in ashes. Was it Kieran's magic?

My heart tripped with fear. Panic gripped me.

"Where did you leave your bracelet?" I asked, holding him. Where the hell was that guard?
