The cook lost her job

Shen Ji and Shen Li who were chatting with some friends saw what happened and rushed to their sister. Shen Li looked at the cook who spilt the porridge but didn't show any sign of remorse.

"You there, are you blind? you did it intentionally didn't you? tell me, who sent you?" Shen Li yelled at the cook in a cold voice.

"Lil'sis are you alright?" Shen Ji pulled Shen Xi to her side and checked her body for any injuries, fortunately, there were no injuries. She heaved a sigh of relief. Shen Ji pulled Shen Xi away to change her clothes.

"Big sister, the cook did that intentionally," Shen Xi told her sister what came into her mind.

"You think so too?" Shen Ji was surprised at how intelligent her sister was.

"Yes am very sure because I overheard her talking with someone over the phone"

"Then why didn't you tell me?"

"I wanted her to do it so that I will have evidence against her and kick her out"

Shen Ji was shocked to hear the sarcasm in Shen Xi's voice, who knew her little sister was such a devil?

"Let's go now, time to watch a good show"

Shen Xi and her siblings went to the principal's office and revealed the truth to him, the cook was sacked.

Soon the bell rang for closing and everyone went home. When they arrived home Shen Xi saw her grandmother and her grandfather whom she had not seen for a very long time.

"Grandpa!" she exclaimed and run to her grandfather and hugged him.

"Little Xixi, look how big you have become?" he carried her unto his lap.

"Grandpa I missed you so much" she hugged him and hid her face in his chest.

Shen Ji and Shen Li who were behind run to their grandmother. Shen Zhejiang looked over victorious at Shen Lao with a mock. These two had been fighting to gain the attention of Shen Xi. Shen Lao looked away with envy, that old man planned to not visit for a long time to gain the attention of the little girl.

"Little Xi how was school?" Shen Zhejiang asked the little girl who refused to leave him and continue to hug him. Shen Xi sat on his lap and told him everything starting from the first day she went to school.

After chatting for a while, Shen Xi went to her room to change her clothes.

Shen Lao hit his chest with an aggrieved expression" You intentionally did that so the little girl would miss you right? You're a pervert"

Ning Nu went to the kitchen to prepare dinner when someone hugged her from behind, it was Shen Kun.

"Shen Kun stop fooling around, you'll be destructing me, don't forget mom and dad are also around"

"Don't worry, I just want to spend some time with you, why is your mind wandering far off?" Shen Kun teased as he placed a kiss on her cheeks. Ning Nu's face flushed red immediately, she felt a hot breath around her ear, Shen Kun was trying to seduce her! She pushed him away. He tried to hug her again but Ning Nu got pissed off.

"Shen Kun! if you continue to fool around, forget about me sleeping with you tonight" she warned him

"Sorry I'll stop disturbing you then" he turned around and got disappointed when his plan to seduce her had failed.

Shen Xi came out of her room when a sweet aroma run through her nose, it was from the kitchen, she run to the kitchen.

"Why are you running around?" Ning Nu asked her daughter

"Mommy, are you cooking hot pot?" Shen Xi asked with glowing eyes, hot pot was her favourite food.

"Hmm go and sit and stop running around, the food will be ready soon"

"But mommy I am very hungry" Shen Xi complained and soon her stomach also grumbled.

"Just wait for a little more, sit down quietly"

"Okay mommy"

Shen Xi runs to her sibling's room.

"Jiji and Lili mommy has prepared hot pot, come out and eat" after announcing to them she run back to the dining hall and sat by her grandfather.

"Grandpa, will you make barbecue for me?" Shen Xi asked and looked over at her grandfather with cute eyes which the old man surely couldn't resist. Shen Zhejiang always made barbecue when he came to visit and Shen Xi liked it very much.

"Sure, since it's late I'll make some for you tomorrow"

"Grandpa is the best"

Shen Lao looked at her husband with envy, this old man always tricked the little girl and got her attention. Shen Zhejiang felt his wife's gaze on him and smiled at her.

Everyone was seated at the table and waited for Ning Nu, soon she brought out the hot pot and served it to everyone.

Shen Xi forgot about everyone and only focused on her meal.
