I had a lot to think about. Nevermind I never thought vampires existed--why would I? Here I was sitting in front of one, willing to tell me about them. There was a lot that didn’t make sense in science, but that apparently didn’t matter because magic existed. A whole different realm that I assume broke what we knew about the world. I wondered if scientists would ever be able to explore this, and how physics in general may need to be rewritten.
Anyway, I glanced at the window, recalling how I felt as though I’d been watched. Gulping, I resolved to tell Percival. Perhaps he would know something about this. “There was someone in the woods,” I said, motioning toward the window. “It felt a little bit off to me. Like…someone was watching. I think I even saw red eyes.” Percival fixed his stare on me and slowly nodded, a faraway look in his eyes.
