A Drop of both
In a small room which was dimly lit before. Now it was brightly lit with red and golden light, both of them filled with a deep and ancient aura. Filled with profound elegance and arrogance.
On the red side of the light, stands a Majestic bird that looks like it was made out of celestial flames that could melt even the sun if it wanted to. Its eyes radiated deep profoundness and elegance that could only be seen in the most beautiful celestial maidens.
The golden light that radiates throughout the other half of the room has a golden scaled dragon. Its horns looked similar to an ancient Qilin, making the dragon look sharp and ancient. Its eyes radiated a domineering air that doesn't even consider the heavens as an equal. Its body is covered with golden intricate scales.
Both the dragon and Phoenix seem to be Manifestations that are formed by two drops of blood, one drop is a bright golden color. The other was Bright red with a tint of light blinding gold.
When Fang Yun saw these two blood drops, his whole body was shaken. Blood was pouring out from all his 7 orifices. The pressure from the blood aura was domineering and unrelenting. It refused to yield to anything it encounters.

The two mythical creature the fly through the heavens to each other and started to dance through the empty space, adding light and creation to many parts of the Universe. Red and Gold combined into something. Both of Dragon and Phoenix were Entangled together for a long time.
Then a big suction vortex appeared in the middle of the Dragon and the Phoenix. All the Energy around them and beyond were Instantly sucked into the vortex. The vortex was first a dim and black color, now it's bright white color. It's looked like the purest thing that has ever existed.

While absorbing the surrounding energy, a golden drop of liquid appeared in Fang Yun middle abdomen. That is usually the place where a datian is locate. The datian is where energy is condense and store, to supply meridians with energy.
Meridians then transmit those energy changing their form, state and elemental constitution to suites that person cultivation technique the most. While most of Fang Yun meridians are grey and dim. Energy can still be transfered there and activated, but the function will be like an imitation of the first formed meridian.
It won't be able to explode with its own technique. So basically for Fang Yun the more meridians he unlock the stronger he will be.
