---------------
Sparks flew in all directions as the bullet fired by Gangplank shattered in Kaido's sharp fangs. The dark clouds that had covered Cake Island and the giant dragon hovering in the sky vanished instantly.
In the next moment, Kaido transformed into his human form, descended from the sky, and swung his mace, covered in Conqueror's Haki, with immense force toward Gangplank.
"Thunder Eight Trigrams!"
With a loud clash, the mace wrapped in Conqueror's Haki collided violently with Gangplank's scimitar, which was burning with strange fire.
The moment their weapons clashed, two overwhelming waves of Conqueror's Haki erupted in every direction.
The sky seemed to crack, and Cake Island trembled as the two ultimate forces collided. Many buildings, once sturdy, cracked under the pressure.
When the Four Emperors clash, it's not a gentle encounter.
The sheer power of the Conqueror's Haki sent weaker minions collapsing to the ground. Only a few of the strongest, like Katakuri, Pike, and Gragas, remained standing, silently watching the battle unfold.
Gangplank was pushed back several steps by Kaido's Thunder Eight Trigrams.
Even with the aid of his equipment, Gangplank was still no match for Kaido's sheer physical strength.
But that didn't matter. Gangplank's rise as a new Four Emperor had never been about raw power.
The strange fire that covered Gangplank's scimitar began to climb up Kaido's mace, threatening to burn his arm.
However, Kaido wrapped his own Conqueror's Haki around his arm and swung the mace with such force that he extinguished the flames.
"Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh,"
"Is this how you defeated Linlin?"
"Linlin has really become weak!"
Kaido stared at Gangplank's scimitar and laughed.
"Join me," Kaido offered. "I'll make you my first officer."
"Otherwise, just die here!"
"This sea isn't for someone like you!"
Kaido believed he had figured out Gangplank's strength and generously extended an offer to him.
The only response was Gangplank's scimitar and the bullets he fired.
"How I defeated Big Mom," Gangplank said with a smirk.
"You'll find out if you try it!"
Gangplank ignored Kaido's offer and faced him directly, the battle resuming with full force.
The entire Cake Island trembled under the weight of their fight. The sea became choppy, and the sky cracked open with each strike, as if the world itself couldn't handle their power.
Each time Gangplank and Kaido clashed, Gangplank was forced to retreat slightly, his strength lacking compared to Kaido's.
But each time he fell back, he always pushed forward again.
The roar of battle and the sparks from their weapons filled the air, and the two continued their relentless confrontation.
Meanwhile, Perospero quietly approached Katakuri, who was watching the fight. Leading several Charlotte family cadres, Perospero spoke in a low voice.
"Hehehe,"
"Katakuri, now's our chance to take back all the nations!"
"While Gangplank and Kaido are locked in battle, we can go rescue mom,"
"Just heal her!"
"The Charlotte family can rise again on this sea!"
"This sea should be called Ten Thousand Kingdoms, not Bilgewater!"
Perospero's voice was filled with ambition. Despite Big Mom's defeat, he still harbored dreams of controlling the entire world and even reaching the top of the Four Emperors.
Katakuri, however, remained unmoved. He looked Perospero in the eye and responded coldly.
"No, I refuse!"
"It doesn't matter what this sea is called!"
"What matters is that the Charlotte family can still survive on this sea!"
"Don't you get it?"
"Mom has failed. Even if she's healed, she's still a failure!"
"And a failure can't protect the Charlotte family."
Katakuri's voice was firm, his words heavy with finality. After a brief silence, he continued, his eyes narrowing as he looked at the disapproving expressions of Perospero and the others.
"Maybe… maybe it's not a bad thing to let mom stay like this forever."
"The time for mothers has passed!"
Katakuri, who had once seen his mother as a cruel, violent force, now viewed her differently. On Cake Island, she was more like a carefree little girl, thinking about nothing but food and fun.
At least now, Katakuri didn't have to worry about his siblings and their chaotic lives.
Or maybe it was simply because his mother had lost herself, and he'd made peace with that.
"Katakuri, are you planning to betray Mother?"
"Are you betraying the entire Charlotte family?"
Perospero's face turned crimson with anger as he glared at Katakuri, who refused his proposal.
"Betray?"
"I said, Mom's time has passed!"
"Also, Perospero, you don't represent the whole Charlotte family!"
Katakuri stepped forward, his eyes locking with Perospero's. A powerful aura radiated from him, filling the air with tension.
"Stop talking," Katakuri said, his voice cold and firm.
"I won't let you take Mom away!"
"And remember, I am now a part of Bilgewater and Captain Gangplank's right-hand man!"
"Until I defeat him, I will not allow anyone to destroy Bilgewater!"
"Do you understand?"
Perospero, feeling the weight of Katakuri's presence, took a cautious half-step back. He said nothing, but his gaze lingered on Gangplank, who was still battling Kaido in the distance, a glint of determination in his eyes.
Meanwhile, inside Cake Island Castle, Big Mom sat happily, eating and drinking with Barrel Gragas. She paid no attention to the loud noises coming from outside.
In her world, there was nothing more important than an endless supply of food.
To ensure the future of Bilgewater and her Homies, Big Mom was content to stay in her sugar-filled world, with Gragas always by her side, guarding her year-round.
The battle on Cake Island raged on for an entire day and night. The aftermath of the intense clash between Gangplank and Kaido tore apart much of Cake Island's structures.
Even the island itself was shattered, its once-mighty form crumbling under the force of the battle.
If Katakuri, Pike, and the others hadn't evacuated the civilians and occasionally intervened to block some of the destructive aftermath, the entire island might have been completely destroyed.
Despite their efforts, the battle continued. Perospero and the others attempted to take advantage of the chaos to sneak attack Gangplank, but they were left frustrated.
Gangplank, fueled by his intense fighting spirit, seemed to grow stronger the longer the battle lasted, while Kaido, for some unknown reason, began to show signs of weakness.
Kaido was occasionally enveloped in strange fire, and black bullets fired by Gangplank caused only minor wounds but significantly hindered Kaido's ability to recover.
Every time Kaido and Gangplank clashed, the sheer power of their strikes inflicted damage on both sides.
The injuries slowly accumulated, and in one final confrontation, Kaido was forced to stagger back a few steps, coughing up blood.
