What's wrong, boys

With BTS becoming increasingly more popular across the world, so has the harassment. Bighit and BTS had dealt with the problem by hiring bodyguards, though it solves the problem of fans and more obsessive fans throwing themselves at them it also brought a lot of unwanted attention to the boy group.

Bighit writes an apology letter after internet backlash. Backfires and blames BTS.

Directors of Big Hit Entertainment as well managers and members of BTS had a meeting on the issue. Bang Si-Hyuk, owner, and director of Big Hit sighs as he reads the newspaper. He throws it on the table for others to see the headlines. In a big bold letter read, "BTS BODYGUARD SPOTTED DOING ILLEGAL BUSINESS WITH LOCAL GANG."

"That's the fourth news covered by The Hankyoreh this month, we need to do something about it fast," Si-hyuk stated as he rubs the wrinkles of his forehead.

"We have taken care of the bodyguards and we are currently in search of another— " said JYP vice president, Pyo Jong-rok but was quickly dismissed by Si-hyuk. Si-hyuk raised the newspaper to the air only to let it fall back on the table. Some of the members almost flinched as Si-hyuk rose from his seat and took the paper, even Jong-rok thought he was going to be hit.

"The bodyguards are the problem, we cannot have threatened, trigger-happy ex-cons that are clearly doing their job for the sake of money instead of safety! If anyone can't find at least one person with a shred of decency and common sense, then don't try to look for it." Si-hyuk falls back in his chair, his body too tired from the ongoing news and forcing himself to stay awake to attend meetings. Jong-rok takes a glass and pours water inside before giving it to the director.

"Sir," Namjoon, the BTS group leader, speaks. His voice is loud and clear for everyone to hear. The members of the meeting turned to his attention and Namjoon gulped at the sudden shift in the atmosphere. Intense eyes were on him now, he must say something quickly.

"We, BTS, are all... overwhelmed with the news and it's clear they are just trying to damage our reputation, sir. We can't do much but reassure everyone that our bodyguards have been dismissed from the company."

The directors try to speak but Taehyung interrupts.

"We can stay in our dorms until all of this blows over!" Tae suggested. Some of the members, especially Hoseok, grimace at the thought of being stuck in a dorm with nothing much to do.

"And how long do you think it would last until it 'blows over'," another JYP member questioned.

Taehyung turned shy, clearly not thinking his reply thoroughly. "Umm, well who knows! It could be a couple of days, maybe a week?!" Tae thought out loud only to receive a couple of disconcerting glances.

"...Or months," Jungkook murmured, but it was loud enough for people to hear. As the attention shifted from Taehyung to Jungkook, too late to realize his mistake. "I-I was just saying, I don't even think it will last that long," he corrects himself. Their manager has pulled aside and started to discuss the situation.

As the three old men talk, BTS only is able to make out several words from across the room. The three men disperse and turn back to the team.

"Well, BTS, for the next week your schedule will be postponed until further ado. In the meantime, all of you go back to your dorms. If you ever want to leave, contact your manager or anyone in Big Hit and they'll escort you. All seven of you are only allowed to be outside for a set time and must back home before ten... Everyone dismissed," Si-Hyuk stated as a rule. The rest of the members started to get up and leave except for the BTS group as they were the last to leave.

Hoseok pouts as they exit the room, kicking the ground and all around in a bad mood, he argues, "this sucks! I wanted to go to this new place where they sell the best beer and chicken in all Seoul, but know they are treating us like like— "

"Children," Yoongi finishes his sentence.

"Yes, children! We are grown men, we can take care of ourselves," Hoseok says loud and proudly. The team looks at him up and down but says nothing as they continue to walk.

"W-what! You think I can't take care of myself." Hoseok pulls Namjoon who looks at him with pity.

Namjoon rubs the back of his head and he gives a sympathetic smile to his friend, "no, no Hoseok, is not that is just what you...in general are..." Namjoon continues to awkwardly smile at his words leaving him and having nothing to say.

"You are the most childish out of all of us," Yoongi tells him, his voice sharp as ever.

"What! That's not true, I can be mature."

Jimin tries to hide a smile as he hears Hoseok but breaks into laughter as he notices his cheeks puffed and red. Jimin is then stopped by the indifference in Jin. He was quiet most of the day, nodding from time to time but mostly quiet.

"Hey, you got nothing to say about Hoseok?" Jimin asks Jin. Jin stared at him absently for a couple of seconds before he understood his question.

"Ah! Yeah, whatever you say," Jin says, forcing a smile while looking at Jimin.

"Hey, what's wrong." As if on cue all other members turned his attention to Jin. The male being quiet was already odd but was him being absent-minded set everyone off.

Jin glance around looking at the worry faces of his friends and knowing he couldn't hide it forever, "I..." he gulped down before continuing to talk, "I found this the other day, I-I didn't want to say anything or else it would turn into a big deal and with the bodyguards' issue I didn't feel—"

"Get to the point." Ordered Yoongi. Jin rumbled through his pocket until he took out a crumpled dirty paper. Namjoon takes it and opens the paper, everyone gasped simultaneously.

"This..." Tae says, a single word only able to get out.

"Is," Jungkook follows.

"A death threat," Namjoon finished off as he read the last word of the paper.

A death threat. They weren't unfamiliar with those types of letters, a handful throughout their career have been sent and quickly taken care of, most of them were just pranks to scare them off but this one was different. Hangul is beautifully written, neat, and sharp like a fine brush instead of a pen. It was stamped, with red wax and a stamp encrusted on the wax.

"I don't know why but this looks like the real deal, and not like some fancy gangster, look." Jin points to the logo, one he was all too familiar with when he lived in Gwacheon. "This is a gang stamp, from a very powerful one."

Upon looking closer at the stamp they saw it was similar to the ones they saw on gang members—"Didn't Sei Hyung have something similar," Taehyung pointed out.
