chapter Fifty-Nighttime Promise of Affection

Kin brought Lisa back home in the night, opening the door for her as she descended.

"Thank you for everything," Lisa said.

"It's nothing. What are friends for?" Kin replied.

"Why don't you come in? I'll introduce you to the family," Lisa suggested.

"No, thanks. I need to head home now, but I promise to see them on Saturday," kin declined.

 "You promise?" Lisa asked.

"Of course, I do," kin affirmed. "So goodnight," he said, pecking her on her forehead.

"Did you really just do that?" Lisa inquired.

"Yes, I did," kin replied, looking puzzled. "Did I do something wrong?" he asked.

"No, I just want you to do it again," Lisa teased as he chuckled, kissing her on both cheeks.

"Okay then, go inside," kin said as Lisa nodded and went in.

Inigo, who had been watching from his window, angrily closed it.

********************************************************Lisa went straight to her room because everyone was asleep. She caught sight of Inigo as she hissed and went to her room. Inigo stood there for a moment, staring at her closed door, before returning to his room. He noticed that his phone was ringing and picked it up- it was from an unknown number.

"Hello, who's on the phone?" Inigo asked.

"Hello, darling. Missed me?" the voice at the other end said.

 "Recca," Inigo called out.

"That's right, baby. So, you recognize my voice. That's so sweet of you. How are you doing? Did I play my part well?" recca asked, laughing.

"You're so evil, Recca," Inigo said.

"Come on, baby. I already know that. You don't have to remind me. You're permitted to call me the devil because that's more appetizing and pleasing to the ears. So, first things first, can I come over through the window to keep you company? I still know how to perform perfectly in bed," recca said, laughing evilly.

"I hate you. I despise you so much," Inigo forced himself to say.

"Easy sweetheart. All those loving words just for me, makes me want to do more. You're so romantic with your words," recca said, becoming serious. "Look, Inigo, you're just wasting your time because Lisa would never like you. Besides, she's into kin Adams, not you. You're just deceiving yourself, lover boy."

"I'm going to make you pay. Just watch and see. You will suffer at my hands by the time I'm done with you," Inigo said.

"Come on, you're not still a child. Have you forgotten the saying, 'action speak louder than words?' prove to me that you can deal with me, and let's see who loses in the end between the both of us. As long as I'm alive, Lisa would never listen to you, you will never be together with her, and I'll make sure you run to me for help. I'll be waiting. Goodnight, sweetheart," Recca said, laughing, before Inigo could reply, she already ended the call.
