Chapter 23: Howling For You

At twenty-three, I hadn’t expected to still have my virginity. The right man had just never come along, and even if he had - I was destined to be a Luna.

Despite the Alpha blood coursing through me, I didn’t have half of the freedom that my male counterparts did.

They were able to sleep with who they wanted and do whatever they wanted. I was expected to keep my virginity or at least have no more than one or two partners until I mated.

My mother had been a virgin when she mated my father and she’d wanted the same fate for me. She had been adamant that I refrain from boys until my mate was found.

I waited for the incredulous laughter or the look of disappointment to dance across Liam’s face when I told him. Instead, he took my hand, running his thumb along the back of it.

“Okay. And you’re sure that you want to offer it to me?”

I bit down on my lip as I took a moment to think and Liam, much to his credit, remained silent allowing me my time.
