After a while they returned back to the cave where Wren painted the flowers she found inside and it was safe to say that Wren did not have a talent for art.
"I thought you said you loved to painting" Cardan teased her as he looked at her sorry excuse of flowers.
Wren huffed her cheeks reddening "I do but what does loving to paint have anything to do with skill" she turned away from him.
Cardan shook his head as he smiled softly at her "Nothing at all my dear empress."
Wren looked at him arrogantly "Yours couldn't be any worse, come on show me what you've drawn."
Cardan held the portrait before turning it to her. Wren sucked in a breath as she looked at it.
It was a painting of a teenage girl dressed in pink as she fell asleep. The girl looked beautiful, peaceful and calm, but it didn't hard the smile that held and show cased her arrogance.
"Is that..."
Cardan nodded "Yes."
