That Night

"Wow, you seem like your completely stunned by what's going on!" is what you might say. Yes, I do agree, the stuff that's been happening is definitely not normal, but, somethings are just like that. Anyway, back to my life story! One evening, there was a exam due. Of course, no one liked that. And, Hailey, she didn't come to school saying she was sick. Yeah, everyone knew she just wanted more time to study. But, not even that was true. Why? Well, walking back to my apartment, by the woods, I remember she jumped out at me, and threw us both deep into the woods. I remember she must have wanted to kill me, but then, something astonishing happened. As she was about to stab my chest, the man, pale with pink lips, black hair almost covering his eyes, shoved Hailey of me, and put himself right on top of her. I saw Hailey's knife gleam. It went straight through his chest. Nothing happened. In fact, he told me to run behind myself, deeper into the woods. I do. When I look back, I see the boy near her neck, her not moving and him just, feeding off of her. Hailey was unconscious. After seeing this, I ran so hard and so much, my feet got blisters. It was now late at night. I almost felt bad for Hailey, then, yet again, she gave me months of detention. I forgot how far I ran, but, I looked back to check if the man was following me, when I bumped right into him. I remember he put his arms around my, like I was his little child. I felt so calm all of a sudden. Dark magic. The magic which made the woods seem fine. The magic which let him into my house, and the magic that made Hailey extremely calm. I couldn't control it. I felt my arms wrap around him, and hugging him. " So, is everything ok?" I feel the world melt away. I see myself back in my apartment. I forgot what I had just seen. My feet were fine again. Yet, I was still hugging him. He hugged my back. " Wait, I never told you my name, did I?" he said normally. "My name is Tyler, yours?" I don't think I answered, and just sat there in his arms. "My name,"I finally said, "Is Claire."
