Ch. 9 Part 2

Lin Yu'an fixed the earpiece into his ears, pulled down a part of Yu ger's shirt and used the diaphragm to find the right place. Feeling the cold metal on his chest Yu ger felt itchy but he held himself from wanting to scratch the itchy skin and decided to focuse on something else, Lin Yu'an listened to his steady heart beat for a while "just breath normal don't tense up" Yu ger did as instructed again. After listening he was about to put away the stethoscope when he noticed the twins who had long stopped playing focused and curious gazes on him "do you want to listen too?" he smiled and asked and they both nodded like chicks pecking on grains. "come" they went to his side after he called.

He took out the earpiece and fixed it to Ali'an's ears and after he did the same to Aluo before putting it away. "did you hear... that was your little daddy's heart beats" he said to the now fascinated twins who looked like they were just introduced to a new world as he jotted something down in the note. "daddy! daddy! it was like boom! boom! it was making drum sounds!" Aluo said with the brightest smile ever to Yu ger who smiled back.

Seeing the twins like this he was truly happy and thankful that they could now smile happily like kids their own age "really? was it drumming?" he asked curiously and they nodded "daddy it really drummed like boom! boom!" Ali'an affirmed his brother's words "pufft" Lin Yu'an who was quietly listening to them as he jot down words couldn't hold back his laughter anymore and ended up snorting, both father and children blushed embarrassedly. "it's called heart beats, those beats you heard now is how you can tell that a person's heart is still working and pumping well" he explained dotingly and they nodded

"daddy's heart is working well!" Aluo said with a smile and proud "en.. it's a prove that daddy's alive and well!" Yu ger turned his head towards him and watched him feeling inexplicable but Lin Yu'an's attention was on the kids with a warm and real smile, Yu ger felt a little stuffy in heart not knowing how to react and feel.

He put the thermometer under Yu ger's armpit and proceed on to check Yu ger's blood group and blood glucose and blood sugar test, after jotting all that down he took out the thermometer under his armpit checked and jotted down it's readings too. After that he quickly wipe clean the medical tools and equipments he used and put them away into the space. He had faith in Yu ger that he wouldn't expose his space to others not even aunt Zhang and as for the kids even if they did tell their friends no one Would believe.

But that wasn't why he was carelessly exposing the space in front of them, being with them these past few days he has come to understand both father and children well. They were the type of people with sealed mouths and they also don't like mingling with others. Yu ger and the twins watched with sparkling eyes as they saw things disappear from Lin Yu'an's hands "father know's how to do magic.... *hush* don't tell anyone not even aunt Zhang or father wouldn't show you his magic anymore" Lin Yu'an said with his finger on his lips mysteriously and they both nodded like lizards "father i won't tell anyone, i want to see father do magic!" Aluo said sheepishly "me too!" Ali'an added making him chuckled at their cuteness.

He turned to Yu ger after sensing his gaze "i won't tell" Yu ger said sternly making him feel funny, he suddenly thought Yu ger was cute and innocent like the children he chuckled again "I know" he smiled and said and a blush appeared under Yu ger's eyes, he turned away and coughed dryly seeing that Lin Yu'an was treating him like a child. Lin Yu'an almost wanted to go and rub his head but on second thought he push away that thought.

"how did you know" Yu ger asked. Lin Yu'an not getting his question stared unblinkingly. "how did you know that i was literate?" he rephrased his question. Lin Yu'an gave him a dumbfounded look think he was asking a silly question. He sighed and decided to indulge in him even though in his previous life he wouldn't have the heart to such thing "only an idiot wouldn't be able to tell....." he paused and point to the three of them "both you and the kids have been leaving trails of your studies all around the house..... this village doesn't have a school and the only scholar in this village is the second son of uncle Li who's studying in the county town. So that comes back to you with a scholarly temperament. Now you know how I could tell?!"

Yu ger nodded in understanding after listening to his analysis and another thing he got from Lin Yu'an's words was that the previous Lin Yu'an was an idiot but him now wasn't. Lin Yu'an closed the journal notebook stood up straight with his hands folded.

"now that I've answered your question, let's have a doctor- patient talk." Yu ger looked at him with doubt being the first time hearing such statement. Because in this dynasty there was no such thing as doctor-patient talk, the doctor's just check you and prescribe medicine and that was all so he didn't know what he was supposed to talk about with Lin Yu'an. Seeing his confused and doubt Lin Yu'an went on saying "what i meant by doctor - patient talk is you tell me how you're feeling now. You know your body more than i do so you should be able to tell me where you feel pains or uncomfortable, even with all technologies in the world the patient knows his body more than the doctor. Don't hide anything or feel embarrassed"

Yu ger let go of his doubts and as for embarrassment.... the previous Lin Yu'an had embarrassed him in and out that Yu ger learned to let go of the thought of embarrassment. He shared with Lin Yu'an all his discomfort and pains which had to do with his health issues, Lin Yu'an was very patient and tolerance let him share his discomfort with him (LY). And since he decided to treat Yu ger as his patient he had to take away Yu ger's discomfort away and as a doctor treat Yu ger to his best limit. He jotted and noted everything he had to take into consideration as he diagnosed and came up with a treatment for Yu ger's case.

Yu ger watched him quietly as he was focused and scribbling on the 'strange writing book and brush' he felt greateful and thankful to Lin Yu'an. It was the first time someone else other than aunt Zhang has asked him of his pain and discomfort in body, even if Lin Yu'an didn't ask about the discomfort of his heart Yu ger still felt greateful feeling like half of the weight in his heart had been let go making him feel peace in mind and soul.

Lin Yu'an called forth the system mall after he finished with the diagnosis and came up with a treatment. He started making purchases of the medicines available in the system for Yu ger's medication treatment, some of the medicines were to be given to Yu ger in a form of drip infusion. After making the purchases he bought a stand to hang the IVI drip, he washed both hands carefully and wore gloves before dealing with the medications. Not knowing the structure of Yu ger's body he decided to lay down emergency measures just in case because the body of the ancient people weren't like that of the people in the 21st century, after setting up the IVI drip he said to Yu ger

"Yang Yu i don't know how your body will react to these kind of medicines so in any case you feel any discomfort or negative reaction make sure to tell me okay..... medicine can turn poisonous in case of negative reactions" Lin Yu'an emphasized the danger of it to him. "i won't hide it... I'll inform brother Yan if there's a problem" he assured Lin Yu'an, there was no way he was going to hide it if he felt any discomfort. He could see how hard Lin Yu'an was trying to cure him back to health so how could he hide things, wasn't that trying to make Lin Yu'an's hard work and efforts go to waste! After he was done dealing with Yu ger he checked for both the twins and made reports of their conditions too, luckily they didn't have any major problems apart from being malnourished, dry and bad skin and looking weak, all were good.

He bought and injected them with disease control vaccines that kids in the 21st century get injected with which were already available in the system mall. He did the same with Yu ger with the adults vaccines all injected in the IVI drip, he left Yu ger to take a rest as he packed away the used needles and packages to dispose of leaving the children to go back to playing.
