Chapter 4: Encounter with Iron Man

The new day dawns on New York City and Alex Mercer continues to explore his alien transformations and Jujutsu sorcery. He has quickly become a regular feature in the city's news for his heroic acts. However, Alex remains unaware of the attention he has garnered from the Avengers.

Meanwhile, in Avengers Tower, Tony Stark suits up in his Iron Man armor, ready to meet the new hero in town. He flies out of the tower, heading straight to the location Jarvis last detected Alex.

Back on the ground, Alex is in the middle of another training session, trying to master the balance between his alien forms and Jujutsu techniques. Suddenly, he senses an energy signature approaching him at high speed.

Alex Mercer "What the...?"

Before he can react, Iron Man lands in front of him, causing a stir among the onlookers.

Iron Man "I've been keeping an eye on you, kid. You've got some interesting abilities."

Alex, taken aback, quickly recovers and slips into a defensive stance.

Alex Mercer "What do you want?"

Iron Man "To talk. Maybe work together. There's a lot we can accomplish."

The conversation intrigues Alex as he realizes the potential of collaborating with the Avengers. But he remains cautious.

Alex Mercer "And why should I trust you?"

Iron Man "Because we're on the same side. We're here to protect."

The day ends with the promise of an exciting alliance. Alex, standing on the rooftop, watches Iron Man fly away.

Alex Mercer "Well, this is a turn of events."

The next day, Alex Mercer stands atop one of the city's highest skyscrapers, contemplating his recent encounter with Iron Man. It's not every day that you're invited to join the Avengers. After a moment of quiet reflection, Alex decides to take Tony Stark up on his offer.

Alex Mercer "Alright, Stark. Let's see what you've got."

Back at Avengers Tower, Tony is discussing the new recruit with the rest of the team. The Avengers are intrigued by Alex's powers and are eager to see what he can bring to the table.

Captain America "We should be careful, Tony. We don't know much about this guy."

Tony Stark "That's why we're bringing him in, Cap. To learn more."

Just then, Jarvis alerts Tony to Alex's arrival.

Jarvis "Sir, Mr. Mercer is here."

Tony smiles and heads to the entrance. As Alex steps into the Avengers Tower, he is greeted by Tony and the rest of the team.

Tony Stark "Welcome to the Avengers, Alex."

The next few days are filled with intense training sessions and getting to know the team. Alex fits in well with the Avengers, and his unique powers prove to be a valuable addition to the team.

As the sun sets on Avengers Tower, Alex looks out over the city, his mind filled with new possibilities.

Just as Alex Mercer starts to settle into his new life as an Avenger, a new threat emerges. Jarvis picks up on a strange energy signature coming from the outskirts of the city. The Avengers quickly assemble in the control room.

Jarvis "The energy signature is unlike anything I have encountered before, sir."

Iron Man "That's why we need to investigate. Get ready, team."

Alex Mercer, now more confident in his abilities, is eager to prove his worth to the team. He transforms into his alien form, his body glowing with energy.

Alex Mercer "Let's do this."

The Avengers head out, flying towards the location of the energy signature. As they approach, they see a massive creature wreaking havoc in the city. The creature is unlike anything they've ever seen, a blend of technology and organic material.

Iron Man "Jarvis, any idea what we're dealing with?"

Jarvis "Unknown, sir. I suggest extreme caution."

The Avengers engage the creature, but it proves to be a formidable opponent. Even with their combined strength, the creature stands strong.

Suddenly, Alex steps forward, his eyes glowing with determination.

Alex Mercer "Guys, let me try something."

The team infiltrates the laboratory, finding it abandoned. They discover a room filled with pods similar to the one Alex emerged from. It becomes clear that whoever is behind this has been creating more beings like Alex.

Black Widow "So, they're making an army."

As they investigate further, they find a control room with a live feed showing different locations around the world. Each location is marked with an energy signature, and they realize that these are the places where the creatures have been unleashed.

Suddenly, the screens flicker and a figure appears. It's a man in a lab coat, his face obscured by shadows.

Mysterious Man "I see you've found my lab. Or should I say, our lab, Alex."

Alex Mercer "Who are you?"

Mysterious Man "I am Dr. Raymond McMullen, the man who created you. And soon, my creations will bring about a new world order."

With that, the screens go dark, leaving the Avengers in shock.

The Avengers are stunned by the revelation. Alex struggles to make sense of it all. He had no memory of this man, Dr. Raymond McMullen. Yet, according to him, he was Alex's creator.

Thor "We must find this man and stop him."

The team agrees. They begin planning their next move. Alex, feeling responsible, insists on being at the forefront of the operation.

Alex Mercer "I'm the one he created. I should be the one to stop him."

The Avengers track Dr. McMullen to a heavily fortified base in the mountains. It's a daunting challenge but they're not deterred. With Alex leading the charge, they launch their assault.

Inside, they face an army of beings similar to Alex, each one more powerful than the last. But the Avengers hold their ground, their combined might matching the enemy's.

Eventually, they reach McMullen. The scientist is unfazed by their arrival, confident in his impending victory.

Dr. Raymond McMullen "You can't stop the inevitable."

With a defiant glare, Alex responds.

Alex Mercer "Watch us."

The Avengers, with Alex at their side, confront Dr. McMullen. The scientist, however, has a final trick up his sleeve. He activates a device that triggers a transformation in him, turning him into a monstrous creature similar to Alex.

Dr. Raymond McMullen "I am the pinnacle of my own creation."

A fierce battle ensues. The Avengers fight bravely, but McMullen's new form is incredibly powerful. He swats them aside like flies. All except Alex, who is able to match him blow for blow.

Alex Mercer "You may have created me, but you don't control me!"

The battle rages on, Alex and McMullen locked in combat. Meanwhile, the other Avengers recover and join the fight, attacking McMullen from all sides.

In the end, it's Alex who lands the final blow, piercing McMullen's monstrous form with his own shape-shifting arm. McMullen reverts back to his human form before collapsing, defeated.

With McMullen's defeat, the energy signatures around the world dissipate. The remaining creatures, no longer under McMullen's control, become dormant.

In the aftermath, Alex contemplates his existence. He may have been created in a lab, but he is his own being. And he has found his place among Earth's mightiest heroes.

Alex Mercer "I may not have asked for this... but I will use it to protect this world."

In the aftermath of their victory over Dr. McMullen, the Avengers regroup. They have suffered injuries, but they are alive and victorious.

Alex Mercer, once an outsider and unknown, is now a proven ally. His unique abilities were crucial in their victory, and his courage undeniable. Despite his origins, he has earned his place as an Avenger.

Thor "You fought bravely, Alex Mercer. You are indeed worthy."
