Beyond Earth

"Fear is a feeling, but it tends to run deeper than that. It's like a virus. Resilient and highly contagious. And even the smallest seed of it can grow to destroy you." °°°°°° It's the year 2280. Airborne particles were invented with the intent to eradicate diseases but instead they become radioactive, toxic and severely deadly to anyone who breathes in even a tiny amount. The world becomes a dystopia and is uninhabitable. With time running out for humans on earth, Hiro Tachibana is one of the scientists that has to find out if a new planet is fit for habitation. But when people start turning up dead on the spaceship and there are more questions than answers, Hiro realizes that he may not be able to trust anyone. Not even himself. Chapter 117

The house was quiet. When I had stepped out of the room a couple of minutes earlier, I could hear the soldiers talking downstairs but now I couldn't hear them. I stood in the doorway of the room as I stared at the door of the room where the bandit was. We had no idea how to get him out while Kamal was still there.

Scratch that, I had an idea. I had proposed that we whack him across the head really hard to knock him out but they strongly disagreed with that because he could end up dying or something and they didn't want to commit murder. I closed the door and turned around before I leaned my back against the wall, watching the people that were huddled together in the middle of the room. They were still talking about how we were going to get the bandit out. They were wasting time.
