Beyond Earth

"Fear is a feeling, but it tends to run deeper than that. It's like a virus. Resilient and highly contagious. And even the smallest seed of it can grow to destroy you." °°°°°° It's the year 2280. Airborne particles were invented with the intent to eradicate diseases but instead they become radioactive, toxic and severely deadly to anyone who breathes in even a tiny amount. The world becomes a dystopia and is uninhabitable. With time running out for humans on earth, Hiro Tachibana is one of the scientists that has to find out if a new planet is fit for habitation. But when people start turning up dead on the spaceship and there are more questions than answers, Hiro realizes that he may not be able to trust anyone. Not even himself. Chapter 118

Clareta and I didn't mention what we'd just seen to anyone. We kept glancing at each other as if to confirm that both of us had actually seen the infected that waved at us. I was quite shocked, not fully because I remembered what Enny had told me about the infected that saved her twice in Belmont. Three times actually, since she'd also saved us from the raging infected lady that kept denting the car's roof when we were trying to get away from the town.

'Sane infected?' I thought as the car slowly came to a stop after only a couple of minutes of driving and I looked up.

The sign in front of the shop we had stopped in front of declared it as a gun shop and I remembered that we had to get guns before going to Springfort. The windows of the small building had heavy bars on them to keep thieves out and it didn't look like the store had been looted.
