Chapter 37

"It is but just a casual talk, Princess. Time is virtue and by the time we all wait for Amy soul to be aspired completely in my world," The guard smirked and added in a funny tone. "we should not be wasting our time uselessly, standing and prying over her lost, watching her body dissolved little by little; really arguing over something that had been decided long time before. Maybe if her mother would have pitied her she would have been spared. On second thought, I may be bold to ask, who is the cruel one in all these?"

"Oh believe me, you don't want the answer to that." Her eyes still lurking at Alex and Simon. She yet, expected another ruse him but the latter just chuckled.

"I know the answer to that," he dared to speak again. "Its choice the cruel one in all these. Choice that King Richard decided to rule over, fate that Princess Merilia decided to do something to save the Ngami stone. Choice that she chooses to perform that spell despite knowing the consequences behind it. And fate that Amy should repent for it." He explained in such swiftness that Yiana, couldn't dare to taunt him back."So I might just ask. Do you still think badly of us?" As I understood that choice is abided to fate; and fate acts accordingly to it."

"Are you indulging that our fate or destiny depends on the choice we make?"

"Playing with my vanity Princess?" He taunted. "Are you not aware of that? Considering the choice that you and Simon made?"

It was true. They chose to do the Edam spell and were punished for that. They suffered a lot through the entire process. Maybe if they talked into it, before all the misunderstand happened things would have been different somehow. And more, none of them would have been hurt. It is true then, there's nothing such as destiny. The choices people make becomes their fate. It is the rule of Sow and Gain, she presumed. "What would you make of the destiny stone in that case?" It was supposed to be holding everyone's destiny in it.

"The destiny stone, yes!" He bended closer to her."The stone is a gift from the lord himself as the answer or as you might say it, solution to all your dilemma. Each sacred stone beholds a magical wish dust inside it. A wish dust that if you know how to ask, it can change the course of your life. That's is why we call it the destiny stone. Not because it pertains your destiny, but because its wish dust is a boon from god himself which you can use anytime. But only once." He paused to cast another look at the cofounded face Yiana gave him. "In all everything we wish, the destiny stone shows us a way to it. It reacts on your most desired wish of your heart."

"It is a mirror of us," Yiana bit her lips. "I should say that if one tries to understand god's law, he would be more tangled up."

At this point the Guard gave a sincere smile of consent. "Laws are here and we have to follow them. Even if we decide to make our own choices, still the law has to be followed, as the god himself would find out a way to ensure that."

"Is it hell or heaven speaking?"

"To tell the truth; one needs both heaven and hell aligned. Only then we shall be the truth."

"Are you fine my love?" The next moment she realized the useless point of view of her question. Of course he would be disturbed, considering the fact that his family if falling apart.

"Delia, I can't believe that my sister could have made such a bad choice." He whispered. "As this ice is melting, one is gaining her breath and one is losing them.  Who should I be there for?" He broke into a silence.

He looked at his pen of glim and watched its ancient inscription on it. That said; As long as this pen is here, wrongness shall pay for its crime."What's the use of such magic if it can't save the one you love." he grinned under his whisper.

"My love, don't blame yourself for that." She disposed a kiss on his cheeks. It didn't work. Normally a kiss from an angel should be enough to change someone mood and to cure someone's grief, but in his case, his despair was so deep that her trick didn't work at all. On second thought, she dragged him closer to her and engulfed the latter into a warm hug.

A coughing noise startled them, as they broke apart; Jamie realized that it was her. He recognized her small figure and voice. Her innocent eyes, dark brown. Her long black tresses, with a reddish shimmer. Her face round and tiny, she still looked the same as the last time he saw her. Young and beautiful. His sister. Yet his jubilation was not as he expected to have when he sees her again someday. And if she was here, then that would mean that Amy is…he reached for her neck and pressed her against the cold ice wall. "How could you?"

"What are you doing, Jamie." Delia, reached for his hand and tries to shook him off. But the latter was too strong for him. "She is your sister." The princess Merilia was still half conscious confounded and scared, she could see it.

"Give me one good reason why I shouldn't kill her on the spot?"

"Give her a chance, Jamie. You told us that your sister can't be that cruel.  Give her a chance." Ian, Jack and Mark finally reached him and pulled him apart.

"Jamie, calm down." Mark patted his chess.

"We should anticipate in hearing what she has to say." Jack suggested.

"What is left to say? If she is here then Amy should be…" Ian crossed his arms, staring at her.

"Amy? Who is Amy?" she shook her head, still trying to realized what was happening.

"Amy is the one paying for your sins." Jamie bellowed back.

"That's how they named her?" She took a moment to cast a look at them.

"Is that what you are worried about?" Delia broke in.

"And what about the fact that she is dying at this precise moment?"  Ian found his grip, hardens on Jamie shoulder. "Is it no concern of you?"

"Do you realize that she is your daughter?" Jack walked closer to her.

"And she is innocent in all these?" Jamie completed. "One bad decision, you've made, lead us here. You lost your daughter." He accused.

"Maybe that what the curse is all about."Yiana joined in. "Losing your own loved one even before knowing her."

"It might be." Delia agrees.

This time she stood in a white abyss, every dark and scary screams changed into merry cries and joy. She felt as if she achieved her goal in her life. Her hairs longer and darker, she had a long white dress on her. A cheerful wind blew around. She reached the end of a cliff, with water fall surrounding it. A small island, maybe, floated a few distance in front of her. Birds, colorful and joyful flew around. She would swear that this is what she thought whenever she would picture a fairy tale world. Far on the right side she could spot a garden. With pale lemon green scene. A temptation roze as she watched over it. Home? She presumed. As she attempt to make a step towards it, something happened. Something prevented her. It was like a nature size glass, carefully placed in the abyss. "You do not belong here."

"My daughter!" she ran to her and collapsed on the floor next to her. Gently running her small fingers on her face. She had been having crazy vision about her. About how she would be when she would grew up. And there she was, but unable to react. Her baby, a part of her own body and the last witness of her love." I missed you."

"You murdered her." Simon shrugged under his anger. "Your own daughter, you gave her no option but gallows. And how dare you presume that you missed her?"

"How could you?" Alex finally gathered his tone.

"Silent." She interrupted. An authority in her tone as she spoke set an eye on the latter. "You are no bound to address me, son of Richards! Maybe, I'd better remind you the only cause I decided so." Her palm formed as a seed. Her anger seemed to be reflecting in her eyes. She was enraged and seeks revenge badly.  "And then I should not wait any longer to end that reason once and for all."
