I didn't know how long I dreamed until everything faded. Until everything just vanished.
It was an endless peaceful slumber, but like all good things, it came to an end.
The first thing I heard is a nurse's voice, "Yes, Madame. She is being cared for, you don't have to worry about anything."
My eyes fluttered open and were greeted by the white ceiling. I tried to move my hand but failed.
I heard the nurse gasp, then the familiar sound of an intercom, "Doctor Oda, the young miss on Room 103 finally regained consciousness, please come immediately doctor."
After a few minutes, I heard hurried footsteps, maybe, that of Dr. Oda, if I got that right.
A beautiful but manly calming voice, so different from the brusque voice of my Jiro.
"I'm Dr. Oda. Kaede Oda, you are in my care," the young doctor looked into my eyes, and I thought I saw an endless vast ocean. Bluer than the sea, more peaceful than the clouds. It was bliss to look at those eyes.
