Chapter 24

Alex was shocked hearing that. Isn't it that the village they were coming into? What happened there?

"W-what?! What happened there?! Are those 'mysterious noises' the reason?" Said Alex almost shouting

"I-I don't know... My mom told me that we have to leave... And so we did..." Said small Leafeon with tears in his eyes.

Alex looked at the ground. He didn't knew what to do. Help them and have less food or let them starve and have more food? It was Alex's biggest dilemma since he got transported to this world. To this point he only listened to orders because it was easier to do than giving orders. But still giving orders is way more easier than programming the whole game alone. What should he do? Should he wake the others and let them make the decision? Maybe he should help them and take consequences?

'Damm... Why helping others is so difficult?' He thought.

He shooked his head and said:

"Well... Take me to her. We have to help others as an exploration team after all."

When Leafeon heard that his tail started swinging from left to right and from right to left made it clear that he was happy hearing that. Alex walked up to Bob and woke him up.

"W-what? *Yawn* What's happening? *Yawn* Alex?" - Said Bob.

"Bob I must do something, so take the guard for me. Please"

"*Sigh* Alright. *Yawn* Just make it quick okay?"

"I'll try. Thanks Bob"- said Alex with a smile and left the camp.

"Alright little guy. Lead the way"

Leafeon nodded and started walking.

The forest in the night is very dark and scary. Even tho that two moons where lighting up the night, tree leaves are blocking the light. If Alex didn't have sharp senses and half-Pokémon senses, he could have problems with seeing where they are going.

The longer they were walking the more nervous he was. He even started to imagine some unrealistic things in the shadows just waiting for them to walk too close and attack them.

'Heh... I remember what Sensei once told me... "Things in shadows are scarier because we can't see them"... I really miss his advices...' thought Alex

They were walking more and more deeper into the forest as they walked. It even started to be suspicious but he didn't said anything and kept walking. He sharped his senses to the maximum tolerable level.

He could hear everything. Even Leafeons heartbeat. Could smell him. He was nervous and scared but surprisingly he doesn't show it.

Alex could hear some Pokémons on the trees and in the bushes. He looked around and saw some ghost Pokémon following them. It was really suspicious...

When Alex's headache became too much painful he relaxed his senses and said

"How long are we supposed to walk?"

Leafeon said nothing. He just kept walking and lowered his head. It means only one thing. It's a trap and someone makes him to lead Alex right into the trap.

Some time later Alex could hear some noise. He was wondering what was making these sounds and they were getting louder and louder. When they got close enough Alex recognised these sounds. These were a waterfall sounds.

'A waterfall? What is it doing here? There wasn't any waterfall on the map... Hmm... Strange... It is getting more and more suspicious. I should be extra careful' he thought.

The sounds were getting more and more louder. That meant that they were getting close. When they left the forest he saw an actual waterfall and a big hole under it.

Even that it was night, the view was beautiful. The moonlight that was reflecting from the water was fabulous, but on the sinkhole walls were something that was emitting blue and green light, and combination of those two things made it even more wonderful, and the two moons above the the trees made this view magnificent.

"Sooo... Where is your mother?" Said Alex.

Leafeon was standing back to him and didn't looked at him when he said this:

"I-I'm sorry... *Sob* They made me do this... *Sob* They have my mother..."

Alex's suspicions were correct. That was a trap. But why would someone set a trap for a member of an exploration team?

'Someone wanted me to be here... But why? And who?... Or maybe it was meant for someone else?' thought Alex

Suddenly some Pokémons attacked Alex. Shadow ball hit his shoulder and then some rocks hit his back making him to fall to the ground. He could hear them laughing at him. But he didn't want to let them defeat himself so easily, he stood up and faced them.

First one was small dog like Pokémon with light brown fur, white tail and collar.

Second was flying purple ball with big face on it. Red eyes that makes uncomfortable to look at them. Big smile like he was still laughing or happy. And small legs and arms.

"Ho? He can still stand on his legs?" Said purple one

"Grrr!!! It's because of you! You didn't hit him in the back! You hit him in the shoulder!" Exclaimed dog

Alex was looking at the ground not knowing what to do exactly. He left his bag with phone and knife in the camp so he didn't have his weapon that he was used to fighting. He had only his own, bare hands. He couldn't use Pokémon moves because he didn't know how to use them.

Two Pokémons were charging their attacks when Alex quickly looked at them with pure anger in them.
