And although the creature retained much of the centipede's original form, three distinct characteristics of the beetle were prominent, marking it as something far more impressionable.
Its hide was now a blend of both the beetle and the centipede, combining the centipede's flexible body while also gaining the beetle's seemingly indestructible hide. Now the new presence was encased in thick, overlapping plates of spiked armor.
