Duty calls

Lyra heard little growls approaching her room and widened her eyes. 

'It can't be...' She couldn't believe her eyes as her babies sprinted inside the room and got on the bed. 

Lyra was still in shock when the cubs started to nuzzle their faces on her hand. Killian got up from her lap and let the cubs even nearer. 

Seizing the opportunity, the cubs got on top of her lap and looked up at their mommy with gleaming eyes. 

"Babies....." Lyra's loud sob filled the room as she encircled the cubs into her embrace. 

Lyra felt like she could finally breathe. After the process of freezing the poison, her heart broke every time she touched her babies' cold bodies. She missed this warmth. And their reddish brown eyes filled with life soothed her heart. 

Looking at his mate's happy face made Killian happy too. He shifted back to his beastman form and left the room. He wanted the mother and sons to spend some time with each other.
