"Sure enough, the Pyrogeist has an ultrasonic localization structure within its ears. The specific frequency it can hear is unclear, but it should be at least twenty times that of a human's," Leo Harrison explained while putting the endoscope aside.

"It's a pity it can't emit ultrasonic waves like the Venobat. Otherwise, it could use the reflected sound waves to navigate in darkness."

Riley realized the name Pyrogeist indeed implied heightened hearing abilities.
