"I have a surprise for you" collin whispered to Maggie as the two of them cozy at the dining, it was normal for Maggie to express how she feels regardless how many people that are watching except for Collin dad luncheon they rather watch annoyingly.

"Well I can't wait" maggie whispered back, his dad dumped the napkin asking collin to come with him, he did excusing himself maggie wanted to joined him because she knew why he's called in the first place.

"Excuse me" she leaves the table but Collin future step mom intercepted her.

"Is a private conversation, you should come with me and finish your lunch" maggie didn't move but stare at her sternly.

"Is anything the problem" She asked, Maggie closed her eyes for one second.

"You might not like me because I'm rich just so you know collin and I love each other" maggie said.

"I know he loves you, Amaya can't compete with that but at least she has respect not love making in front of everyone, and your dress didn't he mention it was a family get together" maggie looked at her dress it was above her knee.

"Certainly she can't" maggie walked out grabbing her purse leaving but in time collin showed up.

"Hey! Are you leaving" collin asked worried about her.

"I overheard your dad and stepmom"

"Girlfriend he wants to engaged her so he was asking for my permission" maggie felt guilty conscience thought his dad took him instead to brainwashed him about her.

"I thought they hated me" maggie muttered fidgeting with her purse.

"He told me about their opinions about you, I know my dad and my grandfather have a history but mine Is different plus my mom loves you"

The last part make her smile.

"I love you maggie nothing is going to change that" Maggie heard him said the love thing for the second time and she couldn't help herself but say it back to him, kissing him passionately in the centre of the house filled with guest, she's overhead-heels in love with him. 

"I love you too and I was scared they were going to brainwashed you about me as a rich girl" she said, Collin pulled her in for a hug.

"Do you want to get out of here my surprise still stands" collin reminded her.

"We should stay till he proposed and I have to apologise to your future step mother I might have cross head with her even if she mentioned Amaya care to explain" she said walking back inside with Collin.

"Amaya and I go way back and she's close to my dad most of the time in school during FaceTiming dad she's always there so they catch up" Maggie felt jealous but hid it.

"So you want me to believe nothing happened between you and Amaya" she asked giving him a kiss.

"I consider her as my best friend even if she's still mad about the whole not staying in my apartment, whatever you overheard my parent saying let it go is not going to Change how I feel about you" collin said pulling her a chair.

Collin dad proposed, maggie and Collin step mom resolved.

"Collin is my stepson I'm just looking out for him because I don't want him to get hurt like his father did, arrange marriage and all sorts of life connections he should be his own man"

"All his grandfather is trying to do is ensure he has a good life" the both of them went muted.
