"Maybe I can fit in one for the after party what do you think"

"Enough of the whispering now have this, you missed breakfast" mary came in with a platefull of fried eggs and hotdogs.

"Thanks I'm not so hungry, I want to ensure I fit in my dress but I will take it" she took the plate and have a full spoonful right away.

"Is your first dance and look I have a surprise for you" mary pointed toward the door Jess mom walked out from the door with a smile on her face, she look so proud as they hug each other.

"Thank you mary" she muttered to her from their mother shoulder still hugging her.

"You are going to look extremely beautiful, tell me about the boy who is taking you to the dance" mom asked sitting on one of the couch opposite mary.

"He's good looking, very attractive, smells nice have a tall figure.....

Jess didn't realise how red her cheek was, and she fidgeting with her plate of food talking about Travis qualities her fork doing almost all the work, while susan continues to check out the beautiful dresses.

"Ohhh" mary cut in, Jess paused wondering if at all she said something wrong.

"This boy is your boyfriend" her mom asked but Jess trailed of.

"I'm not sure mom we are friends and we take tui-tion class together, we are not dating mom" mary shoot her a look that was certainly a lie, Jess mom did not suspect a thing so she continue the question what Family is he from.

Jess remember she haven't told mary about her hookups with Travis at his mansion and the little off and on relationship with his sister and how much she despise her yearbook picture because Chris only takes it when she is frowning.

" mom isn't it early about getting to know the family"

"Well it seem you really like him, Mary told me she doesn't have a picture of him yet I want to know this boy"  mom said.

"His name is Travis mom and he's taking me to the dance I know you and mary will not like this but he got me a dress" both mary and mom chuckled swapping their seating position to sit with Jess.

"A dress that's so romantic" both of them said it at once and it was weirding her out.

"You are not mad after all these" Jess said pointing at the racks, and a glance at Mary.

"No I'm not" mom and mary yet again said it at the same time so Jess stood up from their middle, they are always cat and dog and suddenly bonding over a boy, a boy who is complicating her life.

"What's going on" she asked confusedly, one of the assistant already fitting susan into a dress but she was amused how Jess sister and mom wanted to know so much about the boy she's going out with.

"I think you should wear the dress can I at least see it" Jess holding her plate of food dug into her pocket and unlock her phone showing them a picture from her screen. Mary covered her lips in awe but mom look rather excited.
