CHAPTER 14

When Anton returns with all the things his boss asked him to buy, he's surprised to see Jackson who is in a good mood. He keeps on smiling which makes him look like a good person in this rowdy place. He sometimes whistles a happy tune which proves Anton's suspicious about him. Something definitely made Jackson laugh and Anton has no idea what is it.

"Oh! Anton, my good secretary. You're back!" Jackson said as he spotted him standing on the side.

"...I'm back, boss." Anton replied. "So what should we—"

"Good. Now assemble that baby seat inside my car. You also put all the pillows you bought beside the baby seat, okay?"

"..."

"Hey? You're good?" Jackson asked and snaps his fingers in front of his secretary.

"Boss, don't tell me... Are you going to bring that soft baby with you while racing tonight?!"

"I'm the soft baby!" Lulu, who is leaning her chubby baby on Jackson's leg, said in a happy voice.

Anton did not give Lulu an attention in the meantime. He is busy thinking about what to do with his boss. He finally lost his mind. Who in their right mind will bring a cute baby with them while racing on the mountain?!

For tonight's race, the contestants will drive up to the mountain and the roads they are going to use are narrow and rocky. Not only that but there are instances where the road becomes unpredictable which can put the racers in a dangerous situation. A lot of accidents had already happened here in the past. Some of them received fatal injuries after their accident while others who didn't have enough luck died.

And his boss wants to bring the chubby baby with him while racing?

He finally lost it. His boss has decided to become a purely evil villain and forget his humanity. Being bad is not yet enough for him. His boss probably wants to become the evilest young master that can exist in their city.

"Oi. What are you waiting for? Stop staring at my handsome face and start moving now."

Jackson moves his legs to stop Lulu from leaning on him. The little girl looks at him with a pout but she didn't say anything. Then her eyes become bigger after staring at him for a moment. She even covers her mouth as an exaggeration.

"What?" Jackson asked.

"Daddy is so handsome!" Lulu exclaimed.

Lulu's point of view is different from what a normal adult can see right now. Because of her small height, Lulu has to look up if she wants to see her daddy's face. When she looks at him, Jackson is coincidentally standing under the lights. In the little girl's eyes, Jackson looks so handsome and his orange hair is glowing under the lights.

"Very handsome!"

Jackson's mood becomes better after receiving Lulu's compliment. See? Even his charms are working with this chibi. That only proves that he was born with a handsome face. This is the face of a person that has everything he needs in life.

"Daddy!" Lulu suddenly him.

"Oh?"

"Lulu is also the prettiest baby!" The little girl bragged with a proud smile on her face.

Jackson snorts when he sees her small face. This is indeed Louisa's daughter. Look how confident she is while declaring such blatant lies.

"Who said that?" Jackson asked. "You're an ugly baby."

The little girl gasps and she opens her mouth in shock.

"You're cursing me like Mr. Kite!"

"Heh."

"Bad daddy!"

"Fat baby."

"Lulu is not fat!"

"But you're stupid."

Anton didn't know what to say. He cannot say if their relationship can be considered harmonious. Well, maybe it is possible since that little girl's father is Jackson Lavine. But still, Anton knows deep inside that his boss is just playing house with Lulu because he's bored and that little girl piqued his interest.

"Boss, why don't you leave Lulu with me while you are racing with Mr. Troy tonight?" Anton asked in a careful voice.

Jackson raised a brow when he heard that.

"Anton, are you doubting me now? Have you forgotten that you are the secretary of the consecutive champion of this race for years now?"

"...I'm not doubting your skills, boss."

'I am just worried about the little girl!'

Anton looks at Lulu with an unreadable gaze. The little girl looks so soft and squishy in her pink jumpsuit. Her round eyes are staring straight at him and it is full of innocence. He is very sure of it now.

It is impossible for his boss who is a devil in sheep's clothing to be the father of this cute, adorable, and squishy baby.

"Tch. Start moving your huge body and do what I asked you to do! Chop, chop!"

"Shop, shop!"

Jackson stares at the little girl who quickly recovers her mood. He thinks this little one is a heartless child. She doesn't easily cry even when he teases her a lot. Lulu probably got it from her mother.

"Chibi." Jackson calls her.

"My name is Luyella, daddy." The little girl corrected him with a huff. "Luyella."

Is her daddy also have a memory of a goldfish?

"I don't care. Your name is ugly anyway. So I'll call you chibi from now on." Jackson replied. "Anyway, do you want to experience a rollercoaster trip?"

"What's a lollercoshter?"

"You're pronunciation with words sucks too." Jackson said to himself. "Well, whatever. You'll probably enjoy it."

Jackson has no knowledge of how to take care of a child. But it doesn't matter. He knows children are such curious creatures. This little girl will probably like racing with him tonight.

When Anton returns to his side, he already finished putting the baby seat inside the car and stuffed the soft pillows beside it. Carrying Lulu like a sack, Jackson put her on the baby seat and wrap the safety strap around her body. He even adjusts it because Lulu is so fat and the strap is tight on her tummy. When she tries to stand up, Lulu sits down again because of the strap wrapped around her body.

"Daddy, I'm stuck!" Lulu complains while swinging her legs.

"Well, that's the real purpose of that seat." Jackson carelessly said while fixing the pillows around her. "You better behave there or else you will fly out of this car later."

See? He's not that bad. Nathan is just ruining his reputation. Jackson is even concerned about Lulu that he put a lot of pillows beside her. It is just his on-the-spot backup plan so the pillows will cushion her weight once the car sways a lot later.

And at least, Jackson did not allow her to sit in the passenger seat. After securing the chubby baby in the back seat, he quickly goes to the driver's seat and starts the car's engine. Anton double-checks the condition of his boss's car to make sure he will not have any problems later.

After that, Jackson wear his seatbelt and readied himself for the race. Today's match is just an easy one. That worm tattooed guy is obviously a small fry. He cannot even bet a lot of money too.

"Daddy, I'm hungry."

Jackson looks at Lulu through his rear mirror. She now looks relaxed on her baby seat while swaying her legs. What a unique baby. Rolling his eyes, Jackson grabs the pink bag on the passenger seat and throws it at Lulu.

"Then eat your snacks and behave yourself there."

"Fried chicken!" Lulu exclaimed.

The little girl holds the bag in her arms as if her life depended on it. Then she opens it to check the fried chicken she put inside the tupperware. Luckily, her fried chicken is still safe.

Huu... This daddy is also rude. How can he just throw her fried chicken like that? That's it. She will no longer share it with her daddy later. Lulu will eat a lot of fried chicken and enjoy the taste of it up to the last bite.

"Hmm! Chicken!"

Lulu licks her lips while thinking she doesn't have to share her snack and all of the fried chicken in her bag will be eaten by her.

"Little glutton." Jackson said to himself.

Anton is now saying the rules of this match tonight. But he doesn't care about it. Jackson is also ignoring the heated glares that Troy the Worm Cooker is giving at him. He is now looking at the glutton baby on the back seat through his rear mirror.

"What a simpleton."
