The Gap Between a Guardian and Normal People

Earlier, while Anya and Henrick were taking all of the attention, Ayensi got bored.

Once again, although he had long patience, that doesn't mean he will use it in waiting for these mortals.

Ayensi was already back to his "normal" self after what happened to Shiena.

'I have conquered lust.' he thought as he looked at the child-like expression of Shiena.

'I'm such a genius that within that short amount of time, I have developed a technique that made her tremble and turn her mind back to innocence. I think it will take some time before she regains her consciousness.'

While he thinks so, Ayensi had enough.

"Disgusting..."

After Spirit said that word, a voice appeared in her head.

'Spirit, how much longer before we begin our travel?'

While expressionless on the outside, Spirit was panicking in her head.

'Eh? Master's voice? Am I always thinking about him that I'm having delusions?!'

'No, it is really my voice.' Ayensi replied with tolerance.

Spirit then looked at Ayensi who glanced at her, suggesting that she wasn't going crazy.

'There is nothing Master can't do! Master's voice is in my head! Oh no, I can't stop thinking! I'm so happy! Why is it so hard to stop thinking!? But I can't stop! I'm so happy!'

'Spirit, stop being noisy.'

'Yes, Master.' Spirit immediately calmed herself and answered Ayensi's question, 'Regarding your question, Master, we are just waiting for them to aboard the carriage. I don't know what's keeping them.'

'You mean, some of them will get in this too?' Ayensi showed distaste.

Spirit frowned, 'S-sorry, Master. We have to go with the flow. These people are the representatives of Mealma Empire. They may look weak but towards the common people, they are the peak of their field. If you get special treatment, they will have suspicions.'

'I don't care, I don't want any of them sitting near me.'

Although Ayensi sounded like a spoiled brat, Spirit was happy to serve. Truthfully, Spirit was glad her master requested such a thing.

In one smooth movement, Spirit pulled the coachman off his seat and replaced him. As if the horses know the intention of the Guardian of Spirit, they silently began to move.

'This should be the case. Even though we are trying to blend in, these people are not worthy... no, even I am not worthy to touch the greatest existence's foot, much less let them sit near them. Surrendering myself to the great one is the highest honor. Next time, I will not get scared if Celestial Shiena invited me in! I wonder what Master's lips taste... no! Bad thoughts! Bad thoughts!'

Ayensi stayed quiet, acting as if he didn't hear Spirit's thoughts.

Meanwhile, Shiena snuggled up to him like a child.

'Hmm...' Ayensi was happy with the outcome but didn't want to admit it or it would make him "weak", leading him to his state of insecurity again.

The carriage was galloping through the road. The people subconsciously made a path for them.

As the Guardian of Spirit, manipulating common people's perception and motives are as easy as breathing.

Thinking that it was their original path, everyone walked away from the road.

'Huh? Why am I walking here?'

The people became confused but after seeing the passing wide carriage, they "understood" their own action.

'Ah, I forgot that I was trying to avoid that giant carriage just like everyone else.'

Thus, no one thought about it that much.

Spirit is within everyone. It what makes living beings so complicated. It also what distinct emotions from thoughts.

From the twelve reality fragments, Spirit is like a wildcard, while its counterpart, Void, is nothingness.

Sometimes, living beings get lost in their emotions, disrupting the reality around them. In Ressuim, thoughts and emotions have powers due to Spirit, a gift from the Gods for the living beings in different realms.

Due to this, something like free will is true and people do not act just because. So before the Spirit turns out of control, the Guardian of Void acts.

Although Spirits going out of control seemed serious, it is one of the minor consequences if there are no Guardians. There are more serious disturbances they have to prevent.

This is how important Guardians are and that is why the Gods, now called Celestials, give them the control of the reality fragment in Ressuim, making them the most powerful.

No mortal should be able to reach their abilities.

With that said, after the first carriage had passed the main road, a woman who wore the armor of the Imperial Knights dashed through followed by a large voice.

"Coming through! Coming through! There has been a kidnapping!"

The Mealma Empire's representatives all packed themselves in the single carriage. Strangely enough, the one pulling them all was, not horses, but a single man.

The most noticeable feature about this man is his legs that are too muscled compared to the rest of his body, making his entirety disproportionate.

"HAAA---!!"

The leashes that are supposed to be pulled by horses were all tied to his waist as he ran at a speed that can catch up to Anya!

"What leg power!"

"This man, he is the top contender for Thirty Kilometer Sprinting champion, the Grand Stallion!"

The other participants were amazed.

"I will try and hit the carriage's wheel from here." a woman with short blonde hair stood up on the carriage's rooftop. She then pulled the bowstring from a bow that was as big as her.

Swoosh*

At an instant, three arrows were launched and accurately hit the hind wheels of the supposed stolen carriage.

However, it just bounced off and didn't do any damage.

"Hmph! Tough one. How about this?" the woman calmly pulled the bowstring without any arrows within.

But soon enough, a spark could be seen and in a blink of an eye, she launched approximately multiple dozens of strange arrows, coming out of nowhere!

"It's the last event's Champion in Extreme Archery! Due to her sharp eyes, she was called Eagle Girl or most commonly known as E-girl!"

The multiple dozens of spectral arrows all lines up and none missed its target, creating small explosions!

"Still no damage?" E-girl frowned at this. She doubt that a normal carriage can still survive those hits.

'What a ruckus.' Ayensi thought while Spirit single-handedly reinforced the carriage, strengthened the horses, and manipulated hundreds of people in advance.
