V.1-C.2│Knucklehead II│

Naruto Uzumaki. Number One Hyperactive, Knucklehead Ninja. The Show-Off, Number One Unpredictable, Noisy Ninja. Child of the Prophecy. Savior of this World. Hero of the Hidden Leaf. Boy of Miracles.

He had many titles attached to himself over the years of his life.

He had dreams and aspirations to become the Hokage.

A shinobi of Konohagakure's Uzumaki clan. He became the jinchuriki of the Nine-Tails on the day of his birth, a fate that caused him to be shunned by most of Konoha throughout his childhood.

After joining Team Kakashi, Naruto worked hard to gain the village's acknowledgement all the while chasing his dream to become Hokage.

In the following years, through many hardships and ordeals, he became a capable ninja, regarded as a hero both by the villagers, and soon after, the rest of the world, becoming known as the Hero of the Hidden Leaf.

He soon proved to be one of the main factors in winning the Fourth Shinobi World War, leading him to achieve his dream and become the village's Seventh Hokage.

Or at least that is how it should've gone anyway.

'Now I am a baby, and not only that, but I have also become Obito! How in the world is this even possible?' Naruto was no longer Naruto, and instead his name had become Obito.

Someone that he had fought against, and then fought with in their battle against Madara Uchiha. Someone that had he had fought so desperately to stop from his plans from succeeding.

Everything was looking different to him now, through his new eyes. His new senses. His new everything, and he didn't know how to feel about his current situation.

He was born on the night of October 10th to Minato Namikaze and Kushina Uzumaki. He was named after Naruto Musasabi, the protagonist of Jiraiya's first book, which made the Sannin his godfather.

The Third Hokage made special arrangements for Minato to preserve Kushina's seal containing the Nine-Tails while she gave birth to Naruto in a remote location, assisted by midwives and Anbu.

A masked man, Tobi, tracked down their location, however, killed the midwives and Anbu, and captured Naruto, forcing Minato to quickly rescue him and teleport him to a safe house.

With Minato gone, Tobi captured Kushina and released the Nine-Tails from her, using it to devastate Konoha.

Minato saved Kushina and left Naruto in her care before he went to protect the village, eventually defeating Tobi and freeing the Nine-Tails from Tobi's control. Returning to Naruto and Kushina's location, Minato realized the only way to stop the Nine-Tails was to seal it within Naruto, believing that his son would someday need the fox's power to defeat Tobi when he returned.

Since the Nine-Tails' chakra was too immense to be sealed into an infant, Minato sacrificed his soul to split the fox's chakra in half, sealing the Yin half within himself and the Yang half within Naruto.

After telling Naruto how much they loved him, Minato and Kushina succumbed to their wounds from protecting their son from the Nine-Tails and passed away.

Orphaned, not having parents or anyone else to provide for him, Naruto received monthly income from the village in order to afford daily necessities. Naruto grew up not knowing who his parents were, receiving only his mother's surname, as Hiruzen wanted to protect Naruto from his father's enemies.

Minato's dying wish that Naruto be regarded as a hero was honored by the very few who could put aside their pain and losses caused by the disaster, while the majority of Konoha, however having no knowledge of the circumstances surrounding his birth, openly ostracized and resented Naruto for containing the beast that devastated the village and took many lives; some even viewed Naruto as the Nine-Tails itself.

Soon, the Third Hokage forbade anyone from mentioning the Nine-Tails, hoping that the younger generation would not blindly hate Naruto as their parents did.

However, Naruto's peers emulated their parents' hatred of him, despite not knowing why. This social isolation caused Naruto to crave acknowledgement, which he would gain by pulling pranks.

From there, his life had begun with tragedy, and now his life would be ever more tragic. At the end of his previous life, as Naruto Uzumaki, he fought in the war, and died as Madara himself was victorious.

He did manage to see something else strange as well, that after being victorious, Madara died as well, but Naruto couldn't remember past that.

'Maybe I should stop thinking of myself as Naruto...?' An identity crisis was abound, and he didn't know what he should do now.

Dying was not an experience he wished to repeat. He fretted over everything, but as time passed and he was being taken care of by this nice elderly woman, he appreciated her care.

Growing up and not having any family was something that affected him deeply, and now that he is supposedly an orphan again, it made him wonder how cruel the world was. 'Never mind that... what am I going to do now...?'

He wondered just what his purpose was now that everything was over. Or everything was just beginning was the most proper way to think of things, as he himself was now faced with a decision.

Continue to be the way he was, or live on anew as someone else. 'No, that's wrong. I am not Obito Uchiha... at least not the original Obito, now am I?' Naruto was starting to come to terms with his new situation.

'I am no longer Naruto... Naruto doesn't even exist. I am Obito Uchiha.' His eye twitched as he thought about being a part of the same clan as Sasuke. 'Why was I reborn as an Uchiha!?' He exclaimed within, his mouth unable to articulate anything.

Naruto had been spending his time wisely at least, making use of his new situation and timing he has available to him. Training himself up again, his chakra control which was shot as Naruto Uzumaki was now much better.

He is also without Kurama and without access to it's chakra, he would not be using some of the techniques he had developed previous.

'My chakra is also limited as well. Much more limited.' Obito had to smarten up, as he would start referring to himself as Obito Uchiha.

His new name, granted onto him by the kind old lady that had brought him in. "Obito? I am coming, are you hungry?" Granny Masumi had entered the humble room given to him to be within.

The first thing Obito had to really do in his situation is get himself situated.

Putting aside all of the craziness of this situation, of the circumstances surrounding everything so far, Obito needed to start increasing his chakra reserves.

This world, no, this universe has beings with a level of power to destroy the world. Why wouldn't he be a little bit paranoid of anything and everything that comes his way, whether that be in the form of this kind old lady, or in the form of another child.

Madara Uchiha now of the present is a problem, the Akatsuki of the future is a problem, even the village itself is a problem, with people like Danzo lurking about.

If anything, Danzo at this point of time is still at his prime time, being able to manipulate things to his liking much easier than the future, with his restrictions and all.

Obito didn't want to lose his memories for the future, knowing that all he knows is of great importance. He considered just going ahead and telling people all that he knows, but he wasn't the same as he was when he was a kid.

He is different now.

More responsible, better educated and most of all he is now weaker than he was. To make up for his weakness, he has to put to work his mind and body, to further increase his chakra more and more.

He no longer had the reserves of the fox, Kurama, and he no longer has his Uzumaki genetics to help him further boost his chakra reserves as well.

Right now, he is nothing but the orphan, Obito Uchiha, who lives with an old woman that he now considers his grandma. She is no ninja, nor someone that knows how to make use of the dormant chakra within herself, and isn't really related to anyone else.

Instead, it is only Obito that has access to his own knowledge to best help himself.

'I also need to think about the things happening during this time.' Obito didn't have time to think about the possibilities of meeting his parents here and now, as he was cut off from them right now.

Instead, he would be unable to walk, even crawl until he builds up enough physical strength. Which means he needs to start doing physical exercises.

To do so, he would continue to make strange movements and all, all done during the day, while at night, he would do meditation, since this is the only thing he can reliably do with his minimal chakra reserves.

'Damnit. With Kurama here, I wouldn't have to worry!' He thought to himself, before he redoubled his efforts in training.

Time passed, as days turned, then weeks passed and soon enough he was able to crawl. Able to walk.

The Second Shinobi World War was the second of four great wars involving the majority of the shinobi villages and countries.

Not much is known about the politics of this era, but there were known conflicts between Konohagakure, led by the Third Hokage, Sunagakure, likely led by the Third Kazekage, Amegakure, led by Hanzo of the Salamander, and Iwagakure, presumably led by the Third Tsuchikage.

The majority of the fighting seems to have taken place in minor countries like Amegakure, leaving them devastated. The eventual outcome of the war seems to have been in favor of Konoha.

Nagato referred to it as a war Konoha started.

The First Shinobi World War ended with an armistice treaty, but also left the Five Great Shinobi Countries seriously wounded. The treaty led to a period of peace, but after about twenty years, the economic disparity between the countries had become a serious problem.

The nations began to form factions, and under the pretext of expending fair rights, the countries started using military force to expand their territories. Thus, a world war started.

As with all wars, the Second Shinobi World War brought forth many heroes and took even more lives. It was during this war that the legendary 'Sannin' rose to fame and received their nickname from Hanzo during a skirmish with Amegakure.

Tsunade in particular became famous as the world's greatest medical-nin while successfully countering all of Chiyo's poisons.

Her ideas and skills revolutionized shinobi squads to include medical-nin she trained personally, increasing mission success and survival rates, a system that remains in place in the present.

She is thus cited as having made great contributions to Konoha's victory as well as the current system of all medical-nin.

It is also likely that this war was where Sakumo Hatake made his name as 'Konoha's White Fang.'

On the other side, it was the war where Tsunade lost her lover, Dan Kato, leaving her with an extreme case of hemophobia. It was also during this war that Sasori's parents died, an event that eventually made him leave his village and join the Akatsuki later.

At the same time, Chiyo swore vengeance against Sakumo for killing Sasori's parents. It is also likely that it was during this war that Sakumo Hatake would fail a mission vital to Konoha's war effort.

Subsequently, he was ostracized and ultimately committed suicide: an action that would shape his son's character for years.

The Ame Orphans lost their parents during this war, leading Jiraiya to take care of them for a while, claiming it was the least he could do. One of the orphans, Nagato, would come to desire an end to war because of his experiences from this war, a purpose he used Akatsuki for.

'Which really makes one wonder about how Konoha is somehow the starters of this conflict...' Obito thought to himself, knowing better than to just outright believe everything he was told.

To outright believe even the village, as they have done some questionable things themselves. So has he.

Several months now had passed, which led to Obito becoming physically strong enough to crawl and walk, and do all of that jazz.

However, what is most important now is the way the village is reacting. The Second Great Ninja War had begun, and supposedly from the shadows would they do battle away from the public eye.

Obito continued to pace as he was just walking around his room. There was no better way to help build up his physical stamina right now, other than to do this.

Also, being an Uchiha allows him a slight advantage when it comes to stuff like chakra control and limit. Those with bloodline limits have a higher amount of chakra they can develop, at least this is what Obito theorizes.

Also, there is the fact that the Sharingan, the bloodline limit of the Uchiha is able to see the world differently and allow them to see chakra should be a good indication that they have access to a bit more chakra control potential than most.

Of course, this is just theory, and right now Obito can only rely on the test results he feels within himself. 'The chakra build up... Well, I don't really know what to compare it to, but compared to a few months ago, there is a difference.' He thought to himself.

He also knew of some basic chakra control exercises, and had a few theoretical chakra control exercises planned out further as well. That whole lead sticking method was very useful, considering Granny Masumi doesn't really care what he is doing.

As long as he isn't acting a fool, and doing anything reckless, she would leave him be. It seemed like she noticed that Obito is fine being left on his own, allowing Obito even more time to himself to continue becoming stronger.

Then there was Mikoto coming by more and more, seemingly wanting to prove to herself that she is able to be a good care-giver, or something.

Using Obito as an example of her progress, she would try and have him warm up to her on her off missions.

Sighing a cute baby sigh, Obito thought to himself some more as he was walking nonstop within his room in circles. 'I think I changed something? Something small, but it may change some things...' He didn't want things to change too much.

At least right now, since he is relying on his future knowledge to help him get through things.

Coming to a stop. Obito felt his tiny legs and feet hurt a bit. 'I think that is enough for today.'
