MEET THE BAD BOY IN SCHOOL

THE CAR stopped in front of the entrance of my new school, Wright High School. I bit my lower lip as I viewed the school building from the backseat window. This is it, the moment I've always waited for. I'm finally here. The school's building was of modern design and everything was of color blue and white. I saw students going inside with cute uniforms with the same color schemes as of the school building. I smiled at the thought. Soon, I'll be wearing the same clothes as them.

"Baby, are you sure about this?" Daddy Roland said facing my way with a worried frown plastered on his face.

I turn my face sideways from the backseat window with a smile on my lips. "I'll be fine Daddy. No need to worry too much," I said to reassure him.

I'm smiling but actually I feel jittery and nervous inside I just don't want my parents to see it. What if this people don't like me? What if I say the wrong words or do the wrong things? There was a ton of possibilities that are swarming in my head that it made me restless. My fingers kept fidgeting with the umbrella in my hands. My dad instantly notice my hands so I stopped and put the umbrella back inside my backpack.

"But—" Dad was cut off mid sentence when my Mom put her palm on top of his hand. My father looked up to her with such devotion in his eyes. Mom had always been a weakness to Dad.

She smiled and nodded in reassurance. "I think she can handle herself. She's a big girl now and she needs to do things on her on."

"Yes, I know that but what if something happens."

"Dad!" I grumbled. Yeesh! Dad is such a worry warts.

Mom looked at me with a sweet smile on her face. She was already around her mid-thirties but when she smiles like that it's like she was only around her twenties. "If something does happen I'm sure our daughter will contact us immediately, right sweetie?"

I nodded enthusiastically. "Right!"

But even with mother's words, Dad isn't convince yet. "I don't know. I still think this is a bad idea."

I put my palms together and gave my Daddy the puppy eyes. "Please Daddy! Please! You can't back down now. We are already here. Please, Daddy, please, please," I pleaded.

Dad grumbled and covered his eyes with his hands, "Oh no, not that look." I looked at Mom silently asking to help me out. She winked an eye at me and she started to do the same thing as I did. I definitely have my mother's back when I needed it something from Dad.

"Please Daddy!"

"Please honey!"

He raise his hands to hide his face, acting like he was blinded by our cuteness. My Dad tried with all his might to fight the effects of the 'mother-daughter puppy eyes cuteness look' until his shoulders dropped and he lowered his head in absolute defeat. "Fine, you can go now."

I squealed in glee and kissed my Dad on the cheek. "Thank you so much, Daddy." And I kissed my mom on the cheek too. "Thanks, Mom."

My Mom hugged me in that cramp space we have and she started caressing my hair. "Just be careful, sweetie. Be good in school and don't cause any trouble, okay?"

"I will."

I hurriedly open the car door and stepped outside the car. My parents followed in pursuit. "I'll be going then."

"Be careful, high school can get a little. . . rowdy," Dad pointed out.

"Dad, I'll be fine." I hugged both of them tightly. "I love you guys so much."

"We love you too, baby," they said in unison. When I let go tears were shimmering onto Mom's eyes. Oh no. Crying alert! I can't cry now it will ruin the light make up I put on my face. This is a special day so I have to look good on my first day.

"Okay, I'll be heading inside now." I walked away from them going inside the entrance and looked back and saw them still standing there watching me as I go. I smiled and wave my hand goodbye. They wave back and then I turned away from them and took a deep breathe.

This is it, the biggest hurdle on any teenager: Highschool.

I WAS walking in the hallway and locked eyes with some students. Some didn't mind me at all. A group of boys looked at me weird but even so to every people that looked my way I smiled. Why? A smile can change everything and it brings a lot of blessings. You'll never know maybe the person you smiled to will be your new found friend in the future. You'll never know you might ease the pain of someone else by just smiling at them. And from the looks of it a couple of students are starting to smile at me too.

As I was walking I looked for my room number from the rooms I passed in the hallway when someone suddenly pushed me from the back. When I locked eyes with the person, it was a girl she immediately say her apologies and scurry off. My eyes followed her and I saw her going with the large crowd. Apparently it looks like a fan's club trying to get autographs and fan service from this guy with dark blonde hair. He has white skin and approximately 6 feet tall. He also has silver piercings on his ears. He is handsome to the point that even if he tried to look goofy and funny when taking photographs he would still look good in it. He has blue eyes as blue as the sea. It was kind of funny to look at since the girls were starting to pull him to the point his shirt almost ripping off and he had a lot of kiss marks on his face with lipsticks of different shades and colors.

"Kyahhhh!"

"Can I get your autograph!?"

"I want a kiss!"

"Okay guys! One at a time please!" he said.

He was having a hard time controlling them but he still smiled and try to gave them what they want. He must be really popular around here to get that much attention. And maybe he is a celebrity or model. This school is one of the prestigious private schools known in the Philippines, it won't be a surprise that celebrities and models attend this school. I passed by them through a small opening from the side and continued walking until I passed by a path on a left corner I stopped when something in front of me caught my eyes. A few meters away from me I saw a tall guy being blocked by this cute girl with eyeglasses. She was holding a chocolate cake on her hands but everybody was looking at her with hostility and I could hear there whispers.

"What is she thinking?!"

"That girl really wants trouble."

"She just stepped right into the fire."

I looked at the guy and cute girl once more and she suddenly handed over the cake to the guy and confessed to him. My hand went to my mouth. Oh my! It was kind of rare moment for me to see confessions like this. I thought this only happens in movies. This was so sweet! I got to witness something so fascinating on the first day of school! I was melting with sweetness from the couple but then my eyes widen when the guy suddenly shove the chocolate cake to that poor girl's face. Some of the cake went into the floor. My mouth made a big 'O' in pure shock.

"Let that be a reminder to not block my way. What I hate the most are people forcing themselves into my life when they are not even wanted," he said coldly. He bump her shoulder as he walk pass by her.

With shaky feet the girl sat on the floor crying. Instead of helping her everyone was criticizing her, spewing harsh comments like knives. I looked at the poor girl and the cake. I rushed to her side. I sat down and held her shoulders. She instantly looked up to me with confusion on her face. I smiled at her.

"Are you okay, miss?" I asked.

With her hands still smeared with chocolate cake, she wiped the tears that escaped through her eyes. "I-I'm fine," she stammered. I fished a handkerchief from my pocket and gave it to her. She momentarily looked at it before accepting it and started wiping the frosting and tears from her face.

My smile instantly faded when I looked at the cake then to the guy who just walked away his hands on his pockets. I was smoldering mad. I couldn't hold myself back. I'm sorry Daddy and Mommy. I picked up a handful of the cake on the floor and throw it towards the guy.

Yes! Bull eyes!

The chocolate cake got onto the back of his head and that made him froze in place. His hand reached for the back of his head and looked at the cake in his hand. Hah! Take that you jerk! That's what you get for hurting this poor girl's heart and for wasting the cake. There was a collective gasp in the crowd. Even the cute girl gone pale and her eyes widen from the heroism I just did.

"What are you doing?!"cute girl exclaimed.

"Giving him a taste of his own medicine."

I know it was wrong but I really can't control myself when I see people doing bad things like this. It's just wrong.

BLADE

"WHO the f.ck did this?!"

"That would be me!"

I locked eyes with a short girl with dark long hair. Basing on her raised hand that has chocolate frosting it was her who threw cake onto my head. Does she know who the hell I am? Is she a f.cking friends of that nerd? I saw the nerd holding the free hand of the other girl and was muttering something to her. I walked towards them my eyes locked into the eyes of culprit but instead of looking away from me in fear she gave me a determined look that she was ready to fight. She better wish she have a death sentence because even if she is a girl I will not hesitate to hurt her.

When I was face to face with her I grabbed the collar of her white dress and forcefully pulled her towards me. She flinched but she instantly get back on her brave face. "What's the big problem? Huh?! Do you wanna die?!"I said with gritted teeth.

She raise an eyebrow. "What's the big problem? You just hurt a girl and wasted a perfectly good cake."

"So!?"

"So? Like hello! She's a girl!," she said pointing to the girl with nerdy glasses. "And do you know how many people worked their butts off just to produce ingredients needed for that cake and do you know how many homeless children are hungry in the streets and here you are wasting food! If you don't want something then instead of throwing them can you try to just give it to those who most needed them."

For that damn reasons! "That's full of bullsh.t! I don't give a damn about those people!"

Suddenly icing covered hands touched my arm it was the hands of that nerdy girl who started this big mess. "Blade, please stop. Don't hurt her!"

"Let go of me, you son of a b.tch!" I pushed the girl away from me causing her to fall down on the floor with a thud and she cried running away from fear.

"What do you think you're doing!?"the girl said.

"SHUT UP! Do you know who I am b.tch?!" My hands were gripping her clothes tightly. Who is she to talk to me like that? "You really want to die!"

She was silent for a moment then her face harden. "Then kill me."

That's it! I thrust her towards the lockers. Her back slammed hard into the metal that she winced in pain. I raise my fist for a punch and she close her eyes in anticipation of the pain but before my fist hit her face someone grabbed hold of my hand. I furiously turned my head to the person who grab hold of me.

"Blade, that's enough. Let her go." Arden said with a serious face. I jerked my hand away from him.

"No! This stupid girl needs to learn a lesson," I retorted.

His eyebrows furrowed. "She learned her lesson. See for yourself."

I did what he said and turned my head to look at the girl once more but even though she is still glaring at me I could see the tears running down her eyes like waterfalls. But I don't know why even if I saw her crying I slammed the palm of my hands on the locker just above her shoulders trapping her inside. She flinched at my action and I was mad because she wasn't looking at me anymore. She was avoiding my gaze her eyes shut tight. I leaned in a little closer to her.

"You pick the wrong time to act scared, little b.tch. Where was that courage of yours from earlier?"

"Blade, stop!"

"Look at me," I said with gritted teeth but she still didn't comply. "I SAID LOOK AT ME!"

She looked up, her light brown eyes bored on me but when her eyes move down from my eyes her expression change. The color drained from her face and her eyes widen. She looked into my eyes with a shocked expression. I was about to say something when Arden grabbed hold of my arm. "Blade, you need to stop. You have to avoid causing trouble. Remember this is your last year in high school if you cause trouble now you could get expelled," he reminded me. "Please, bro. You had enough."

I punched my fist on the locker that cause her to yelp in surprise. I walked away bumping Arden's shoulder as I pass by him.

I turned my head to the crowd. "What are you looking at!?" And with that they instantly looked away and acted that they didn't see me. Damn this school! Damn this people! Damn that stupid girl!

Now I need to get this cake of my hair.

ARDEN

He begrudgingly walked away from us. I can't help but scratch my head. It's the first day of school and here he is causing trouble, again. He always leaves a hell of a mess everywhere he goes, well that's what other people think of him. And even if I say he isn't, I can't prove them wrong since he does what people expect him to do as a walking disaster. I gaze as he walked away from me when I heard someone crying. I turned my head to the left and realize I was still standing besides a small girl who was now weeping. Her hands covering her face with one head coated with something brown it instantly messed up her face. I got nervous as some people who just passed by the hallway and wasn't aware of the early commotion were looking at me with hostility. I smiled at them, reassuring I wasn't the one who made this poor girl cry. I didn't make her cry, it was Blade. Breaking hearts are not my forte anyway.

"Hey." I hesitantly put a hand on her shoulder and back. "Umm, in behalf of my friend I'm sorry for what he did to you earlier. It was wrong for him to treat you like that."

Even though I didn't really know what happened. I just saw him pinning this girl on the wall and scaring her so as the best friend I have to stop him. But whatever the girl did to Blade that made him fuming mad it wasn't right to hurt her in any way considering how small and frail she looked. She has long wavy dark hair that goes all the way to her waist. Her skin is milky white and she is small maybe approximately 165 cm. She was wearing a simple white casual dress with puffed sleeves and embraided flowers on the hem of her skirt that goes all the way to her knees. The collar of her dress was smeared with a little mud. Or was it chocolate? It does smell like chocolate. Her white dress matches her two inch beige sandals.

I rubbed her back with the palm of my hand when her shoulders were starting to shake. "I'm really sorry," I apologized.

She replied with a shake of a head. "No, it's okay," she said. "It's my fault anyway. I'm the one who started the fight."

"Uh, you don't look okay. And whoever fault it is, it's still not right to hurt a girl in any way."

She rubbed the tears from her light brown eyes with her palms and look at me with a sweet smile on her lips. "No, I'm really okay. I'm just happy that's all."

Okay, this is the first time I encounter a person who feels happiness after being bullied by someone, not to mention that person is Blade. But what caught my attention was how her simple smile was affecting me. My heartbeat suddenly sped up and I felt something fluttering in my stomach. But before I could understand the effect she gave me the bell suddenly rang and everyone was rushing to get to their classes.

"Oh no!" she exclaimed. "I need to get to my room but I don't know where it is," she said looking troubled. She looked cute even with her chocolate smeared face.

"Where did I put that map?" she muttered rummaging inside her bag.

"Here it is!" she said her hand holding a folded map of the school.

And before I could say that I can offer her assistance she then bid her goodbye and dashed away. She run towards a corner before I could decide to catch up to her. She looked like a transferee considering everything. Now that I think about it I didn't even get her name.

That was one weird girl.
