CHAPTER 15 : Maudsift

 Morning came too soon, the birds were chirping in harmony. Lily turned to her left, Rian was no longer there. Yesterday, he had scared her . He could hear her thoughts, he had been hearing her all along. Was he just saying it or was it true. It felt real though, he provided answers to the questions she asked inwardly . 

 " Strange " she muttered " Ashty and its inhabitants are strange . Why am I even here? "

 Just then, a knock interrupted her 

 " Your highness " the maid shouted " May I come in? "

 " Come in " Lily ordered 

 The maid came in but stood at the door . The distance from the bed to the door was much, so she really found not see the face of the maid clearly, she could only hear her 

 " Your highness, prince Rian sends for you " 

 " Where is he? "

 " He is in the garden, milady "

 " Your highness, would you let me prepare you? "

 " Right away " Lily responded and the maid started her job .

 Lily admired the garden as she walked past it. Different flowers were in display, the view was breathtaking. There, in the middle of the garden he stood. He was looking handsome, his black hair was let down roughly . It did not hide his beauty . Lily walked closer 

 " Your highness, you sent for me "

 " Yes. The king has ordered the princes and their wives to have breakfast with him at the head dining "

 " oh " was all Lily could say 

 " Shall we? " Rian asked and she nodded. The two of them walked arm in arm to the head dining room. 

 A lot of food were placed before them, there were vegetables , steak, mashed potatoes, puddings, deep fried chicken and all other mouthwatering dishes were in display 

 Lily looked at everyone round the table, she knew the princes but she wasn't sure about the women beside them , there were also three women present that she wasn't familiar with. As the king stepped in, they all stood up to pay respects. 

 " You can sit now " the king ordered, he majestically walked to his seat, the head of the table. Once he was seated he said " It's nice to have the family together , isn't it? " The king asked no one in particular but they all responded. " How about a simple introduction to the newest member of our family " the king looked at Lily and everybody else did so. Heaven knows how bad Lily wanted to hide. With the stares she was getting, she knew they did not like her. 

 " Welcome, princess Lily " a middle aged woman took the lead. Her golden brown hair was extremely short she had big green eyes . She looked tough and stern " I am the king's younger sister and your husband's aunt, Lady amstrid. "

 " It's a pleasure to meet your acquaintance " Lily slightly bowed her head and Lady Amstrid did same .

 " Welcome to the family , princess. I am Prince Rufus, the eldest son and this here " he touched the woman next to him " ....Is my wife, Princess Karina " 

 Lily was introduced to Prince Royce and his wife Elma. She also met prince Royce 's younger sister, Gwinn and also, her husband's younger sister, Doric. She had a bubbling personality. After the long introduction, they dug in .

 " Lest I forget , Princess Lily " the king spoke and everyone stopped eating " You would be starting your Maudsift classes today "
