Aiden

Aiden had just finished the daily household chores assigned to her and was on her way to her room. She really hated doing chores in the kitchen, she had felt the ruthlessness of the apocalypse and she wanted to learn to fight so that she could help her brother when he wakes up.

Jason had been in a coma for almost three weeks now and it was now starting to scare her, while she had seen his body slowly heal form it's shrivelled condition, he wasn't showing any signs of waking up. She would spend most of her free time trying to talk to her brother and get him to wake up but he never responded. Sometimes she would burst into tears while gazing at his unmoving body only for Arya or Kim to come and take her away to rest.

Almost everyone was strained with such a situation the only saving grace was that they had found Harry's parent's, or she should say they had found them.

It seemed that Harry's Dad had gained the ability to make explosions anywhere in his eyesight with just a thought. This ability had enabled him to become one of the founding members of a survivor base which was quite well established. Harry's mother was still a normal human, but she was the backbone of the base with her excellent management skills, she effectively managed all the food and weapons stock in the base.

They had handpicked some trusted members and had tasked them with finding harry, they had given them two pictures, one containing Harry's single photo and the other was a photo of Jason, Harry, and Arya back from a trip. They had guessed that he would be most probably along with them.

The people in the search party had recognised Arya when they met them and that led them into being led to this base where they were currently staying until Jason wakes up and decides what to do next.

Aiden shook her head to get rid of such thoughts and opened her and her brother's room.

Aiden noticed someone standing next to her brother's bed, The person was staring into empty space as if in some deep thought.

*Crash

The plate containing her meal for the day crashed on the floor as her hands unconsciously loosened their grip around them when she realised who the person was.

Aiden rushed at her Brother at breakneck speed almost crashing into him as she enveloped him in a bear hug.

"Brother!" Aiden cried out loud as tears gushed out from her eyes.

"How Have you been?" Jason asked her with a calming smile on his face as he patted her back in a soothing manner to calm her down.

"I- We were almost scared to death when you didn't wake up for such a long time. It was terrifying…" Aiden said as she tried to stop herself from crying. She had been trying to act strong and mature all along to bottle up her emotions and now seeing her brother awake again released all those pent-up emotions. She had been keeping it all inside as she knew that the apocalypse was not a place to cry and wallow over things, but she was just a schoolgirl after all and seeing her brother's still face every day had affected her greatly.

"Shhh It's alright now, I'm as healthy as a horse now." Jason said with a disarming smile trying to elevate the situation.

Aiden in response moved to punch him on the shoulder.

"Don't you ever pull such a stunt again brother"

"Well…" A sharp glare from her made him change his answer.

"I promise," Jason said. He can never understand his sister one moment she was crying and the next she is glaring at him.

"Where are the others?" Jason asked. He was secretly hoping that Harry was still with them and nothing had happened to him.

A complicated look flashed in her eyes, but she still replied. "Arya and Kim are out hunting, and Harry went with the devils."

The last hope that Jason had for harry vanished and he knew that from now on he would have to limit his contact with harry until the devil situation is resolved. Although it pained his heart to not help his best friend in such a situation, he could not do anything, Harry's life was more important than his need to help him.

Jason then proceeded to inquire about how all that had happened and what had caused Harry to go with the devils. After listing to the story Jason felt like strangling Harry for doing such a foolish thing.

"Where are we now?" Jason asked while indicating at the luxurious room he was in.

"We are in the Sweet dreams Hotel; this is a part of the base that Harry's parent's cofounded and they have been very helpful," Aiden said in a grateful tone as even though Harry was not with them Harry's Parents still treated them as their own children and helped them as much as they could. They even provided one of the best rooms in the hotel for them to stay and even the IV drip used by Jason had been arranged by them.

Aiden proceeded to tell him about how they were found by the search team and how they came to join this base.

"Let's go meet Uncle and Aunty," Jason said as he asked Aiden to lead him to them.

While Jason was planning to meet Harry's parents, Kim and Arya found them in a tight situation where they were surrounded by a bunch of survivors as they gazed at them with menacing looks.

"We let you stay here on Mr Steve's orders, the least you can do for the base is to join our hunting team." A blond-haired man said to them, the man had a lecherous look on his face when he glanced at the bodies of the two young women.
