Sang Qian's heart was beating faster. She cursed him. "Now is not the time for you to know the truth. I want you to regret your actions! You damned man!"
She mumbled to herself and threw a punch at the door with full force. A sharp cry escaped her lips. She breathed out deeply to calm herself.
Her knuckles hurt but she didn't care. She pursed her lips. Her brows relaxed. Wang Zhao barged in. She clenched her jaw. "Don't come in my room!" She yelled and her brows knitted together.
He raised a brow and his eyes went down her arm to her, now bleeding, knuckles. He smiled and looked up. The smile was as if he saw something funny. She was staring at him intensely, holding herself back again.
He unknowingly pouted his lips just slightly as he was in deep thoughts. He looked back up and his smile didn't even waver. "I want to have a word with you. Calmly. No drama" He was amused and it was clear from his expression.
"No!" She stated still not moving her eyes from his face. She noticed the change in his expression. His face turned cold in a blink of an eye.
"I didn't ask. I am telling you." He held her wrist and dragged her out with him. He stopped abruptly and tried to pull her in front on him but she stumbled and fell on the couch. She hissed.
He was taken aback himself. "I am sorry, I didn't mean it." She pressed her lips together in a thin line. The lava inside her was boiling and she knew she would erupt and then it would be too late.
Wang Zhao sat across her. She looked down at her hands on her knees. The pain was getting unbearable. She closed her eyes. He licked his lips. "Tell me the truth. No matter what it is. I am so done trying to understand what is even happening around me."
She opened her eyes and glared at him. "Wasn't the last time enough? I made it clear and we even had a deal! Did you forget?" She asked again. Her voice held anger in it.
Wang Zhao looked away from her knuckles. He was again affected by her. She never failed to have an impact on him. Even if it's just him getting mad over her.
He sighed. "Can I be honest?" Sang Qian looked at her hand with an ugly expression clearly ignoring him. He continued. "I am sure, I am being fooled. Either it's you, or it's Mi Chan. Maybe both."
She froze. Her eyes darted towards him. "So?"
He furrowed. "You're exceptionally cold. Why?"
"Because, I want you out of here! So that I can pack and leave!"
"Where are you going?"
"Just somewhere, I won't have to face you and Mi Chan for sometime." She yelled. Her anger was visible in her eyes, her words, her expressions.
"So you won't attend the wedding?" He asked curiously.
"I don't want to!" She yelled again.
"Why?"
"I can't see.. I mean I can't waste my time on seeing her cry in happiness and you kissing her shamelessly. That's cringeworthy."
"But we had a deal, you will attend every ceremony." Wang Zhao stated as a matter of fact.
"I know. And I never back away from my words." This time, she lowered her pitch.
"Then give me another word!" He exclaimed abruptly. He couldn't let it slide. He needed to take advantage of this opportunity.
"Depends." Sang Qian leaned back. She wondered why would he ask for another promise for her? Moreover, what could it possibly be?
"You will take the responsibility if anything goes wrong."
"No." That was an instant reply that left her lips. She wondered what could possibly go wrong. Nothing. She was keeping her hands off the matter, so nothing would turn out the wrong way.
"You have to agree." Wang Zhao stated. He had a weird emotion somewhat reflecting through his eyes. He himself clearly knew, that him forcing her would just create doubt in her head but he could care less.
"Fine!" Sang Qian exclaimed. She didn't give it much thought. All she wanted was him to leave. She didn't care about the consequences.
Wang Zhao raised himself up. "Good! I shall leave. But before that lemme treat your hand."
"I will do it myself."
"Okay." He said nonchalantly and walked out without looking back.

The next day,
Mrs Wang smiled at her husband. "Take a look, I bought this dress for Zhao's wedding."
"I am disappointed that it's going to be a small wedding. I wanted to boast about it to my friends," Mr Wang said as he sipped his coffee.
"It's okay honey, we have hopes from Yuhan!" She placed her hand on his shoulder and then walked to the mirror in their room. She propped the dress over her body to see how it looked.
Mr Wang nodded. "You will look really pretty in this white dress. Reminds me of when we got married."
"Oh! Yes. You bought me two wedding dresses. How can I forget how my rich husband spoiled me in many ways."
"Yes I did." Just then they heard a knock on the door. They turned to look in it's direction. "Come in." Mr Wang's calm voice turned cold.
Sang Qian entered the room. She had two big shopping bags that she placed on a side and nodded respectfully at them. "Good evening both of you."
Both elderly greeted her back. She smiled at Mrs Wang. "Aunty I bought you the dresses you wanted to choose from and for uncle I bought the exact same suit he asked for last time."
Mr Wang's face lit up. "I am proud of you. By the way, can You go and call for Wang Zhao. He might be in the study."
Sang Qian stiffened but she could only agree. She nodded and left the room. Closing the door behind she made a weird face. "Calm down Sang Qian. Just don't mess this up." She smiled to herself and headed upstairs.

Wang Zhao sighed as he pressed his temples. He decided to take a short stroll in the mansion. He stepped out of study and noticed Mi Chan standing near the balcony with a sullen expression.
He walked to her and hugged her from behind. She gasped and pushed him. He was taken aback. He had never witnessed this before. She bit her lip propping her head on her chest. "I am so sorry, I was scared."
He nodded his head. He was disappointed but he tried again. He hugged her again and he couldn't feel her warmth. After just a few seconds she pushed him away again, but gently. "I am not feeling well." She complained.
He smiled again but, he was disappointed. He sighed and turned her to look at him. "If there is something bothering you, tell me."
Mi Chan didn't look in his eyes. She shook her head. "There is nothing." When she said those words, it felt like she wanted to convey there is nothing between them anymore. It was all over. Such a dry relationship. A month back it was better but it's getting worse as they are getting closer to the wedding.
Wang Zhao nodded. "Sure I believe you." He sighed and turned his head to look at the beautiful view of nature. When he turned to look at Mi Chan, she was no longer there. He frowned. Instead he found Sang Qian standing with an awkward smile on her face. "I didn't hear anything you guys were talking about. I am here because your father is asking for you."
He frowned and eyed her. She was wearing a knee length dress with her hair braided on one side. She looked youthful and even younger than her age. Her eyes glistening under the golden sunlight. It was the golden hour. She seemed perfect to be standing there and he could look at her for a really long time.
She appeared so innocent and calm which both of them knew she wasn't. She executed a vibe of someone sophisticated and gentle, kind. She wasn't that. She was rather a bitch when it was about dealing with people. He sighed, pushing his thoughts to the back of his head.
He walked away without another word. She bit her lip and followed him. Her face held a confused expression. She pursed her lips. "This is not the happy ending I wish for you." She sighed when she realized that what she had witnessed was clearly not a happy ending. CLEARLY NOT!
It breaks hearts, Li Zinhuo, Mi Chan, Wang Zhao. It wasn't a happy ending for either of them. She never wanted anything for herself. She bit her lip. "Do I really have to become a bad person?" She asked herself as she tried to catch up with him. She let out a deep breath decided to think about this stuff later. She needed to head back to work rather than wasting time here.

(Living room)
Sang Qian picked up her purse and was about to leave. She was stopped from behind. She turned to see Wang Zhao. He held her forearm. He left it as soon as he noticed her fiery stare. He pulled out a pouch and handed it to her. "Shouldn't have been in my room. Even though you left it behind. I would be grateful if you keep it. Its a burden to see my gift hanging there."
She frowned. "What is it?" She paused and twitched her lips. "Nevermind, I don't want whatever it is. Keep it or throw it." She threw the pouch on the table.
She walked away. He sighed and his eyes dimmed. He put the small pouch inside his pocket again and walked away.
Sang Qian turned back once to look at his tall figure walking away slowly. She pursed her lips. "I will just give it one more chance. It's all on you, if you take it." She mumbled wishing he could hear.
