Antagonist of My Heart

Standing under the big chandelier, both of them stared at each other. The calmness of the church couldn’t conceal the cold atmosphere. The priests’ words ringed in her ears. She batted her eyelids of boredom as a small sigh escaped her lips. ‘For all the efforts I made to have you in my life, you called me a Villainess. But you never realized, all I ever wanted was a happy ending for you. I gave up. When I look back, I realized I never fought for you, and I never tried to be the happy ending for you. Now that I know, I will have you no matter what it takes.’ She thought to herself as she stared at his dark orbs. Her heart tingled with mixed feelings. She raised herself and pressed a kiss against his lips. His usually stoic expression was rather a sad one. His dimmed eyes fluttered with weird emotion. *** She was serious when she kissed the man she loved goodbye and that marked the start of a new journey for her. She was sure that this time, It was all going to end on a happy note for her. No drama, no hate. It was meant to be simple and sweet romance but expectations could only disappoint her. Instead of a new sweet romance she was brought back to the square one with her first love. Was she sure she had moved on? YES. *** Sang Qian sighed. “Ugh!” She let out an annoyed grunt. Before he could step away. She held the collar of his shirt and pulled his torso closer. Wang Zhao was careful of her moves. Her eyes had a cold glint in them. She leaned in, her acting bossy was something that made his heart skip a beat. She was so close to him that he was ready to kiss her. She brushed her lips against his. Their lips touched. He leaned forward to press them together but she leaned backwards. He paused and looked up. He saw her smirk. “You’re not the only one who can play with me..” she sighed. Wang Zhao held a sudden urge to take her down. He gulped the lump in his throat. [NO CLICHES & NO LONG BORING CHAPTERS GUARANTEED] Add it to your library!! Read my other book - Totally opposites? You are a badass Villainess

One day before the wedding,

Evening.

Sang Qian had immersed herself completely in work. She didn't want to think about the wedding. She would never admit but it indeed was affecting her in many ways.

It was almost afternoon. She was blankly staring at her laptop screen. Not knowing what to do. She had a lot to do but couldn't bring herself to do the pending work. Her face darkened. She heard a knock on the door and cleared her throat. "Come in."

She adjusted her posture. A few seconds later, she saw Ji Jin. Her face lit up in an instant. "Oh My god! What are you doing here! I am so happy!"

Ji Jin ran to her and hugged her. She looked stunning with her white silk shirt tucked in her blue denim jeans. Her hair bouncy and curled. "I am also very happy. I was here because I needed some company for shopping. Qin Si said she had some work back at home so she couldn't accompany me."

Sang Qian smirked when an Idea popped in her head. "How about Wang Yuhan?"

Ji Jin frowned. "No! I don't wanna ruin my day."

"Yes you have to!" Sang Qian chided excitedly. She had a stoic expression and she held Ji Jin's from her shoulders leading her out of the office. "I am busy, but Yuhan can help!"

Ji Jin wanted to protest but she was already pushed out. She pouted standing there and thumped her heels on the ground and turned around walking away.

Wang Yunan looked at his manager. "I am not doing that shoot."

The Manager looked back from the driver's seat. "Hey! Come on, it's next week, moreover they say there is a new model and she will even be starring in the next drama with you. I don't remember her name. She used to be a doctor they say."

Wang Yuhan frowned. "Doctor? Now an actor? Fine, I will do that shoot, but just because you said." The Manager smiled and Wang Yuhan was turned his head to look out of the window.

He spotted Ji Jin in front of the cafe with her coffee in her hand. She had hat and shades on. He smirked, because he recognized her in an instant. Her purse, he remembered giving her as a present on her birthday. It was a custom leather bad which had a diamond 'J'embedded on it.

He sighed and put on his mask. He tapped on the manager's shoulder. "I am taking my leave for today. I will go and see my friend."

The Manager nodded. "Don't forget to fetch your order from the cafe."

Wang Yuhan hopped out and he knew Ji Jin had already noticed him. She looked sexy in the silk shirt and red lipstick. "Let's talk." He said and put on his hood as they walked inside the cafe. After taking his orders, Yuhan asked Jin to follow him home.

She didn't agree. "I haven't bought a single dress. I want to go shopping for the wedding."

Yuhan stared at her surprisingly. "Are you serious?" She shrugged and started walking away.

He realized the tabled have turned, he is the one to follow her everywhere she is going these days. He is the one making effort. He didn't voice out his thoughts and soon they were in front of a huge building which said "Execs Mall."

He smiled. "Where do you even get money for buying from such expensive stores?" He was curious.

"You don't know a lot of things about me." She winked and sipped her coffee.

His cold expression was masked. He wasn't pleased listening to her words. Has it been more than four years and she still didn't open up completely. He held her hand. "I will buy you a dress today."

Sang Qian bent down and opened the drawer with the passcode. She pursed her lips and pulled out a file. She dusted it off.

Placing the file so very gently onto the table, she caressed the title. "Mi Chan." Two words beamed beautiful with golden ink on a matte black leather. She opened the file. The very first picture was taken by Sang Qian herself.

She flipped and there were various photos. A few pictures with Li Zinhuo and a few of Mi Chan. She closed the file. "Had that person not helped me back then." She bit her lip in nervousness.

"It's not wrong to tell someone the truth?" She asked herself doubtfully. She wasn't sure if she should be doing what she had planned.

She sighed. "You are a badass villainess." She reminded herself. She dialled her assistant's number. "Buy me an expensive dress of my size and get me an expensive gift box with a black men's sweater."

Wang Zhao looked at himself in the mirror. He thought a white shirt with black pants would do the deal. His attire was formal and a little casual at the same time. He had let the first two buttons open. His hair were freshly washed. He styled them neatly.

He put on his favourite perfume. His calm face screamed "handsomeness". It could be seen easily, that he knew it himself. His face held a hint of arrogance and his eyes glimmered with a hidden danger. His lips curved upwards.

He was thinking about something and it was clear he was in a happy mood. He picked the gold watch and put it on his wrist. He gave himself a final check before he decided to head downstairs.

He stepped out of his room and saw Mi Chan step out of hers. She was wearing a red short dress which reached her knees. He smiled at her. "You look pretty."

She smiled. "And you as handsome as ever." She walked to him wrapping her arms around his neck. "I am sorry for everything. I know I have been taking wrong decisions everyday but I seriously don't mean to hurt you or... it's just that I am doing this for US!"

He nodded his head. "I know." Even though his expression was peaceful, she knew he didn't buy it. She leaned in slightly and was about to kiss him, he turned his head around. "Is anyone here yet?"

Mi Chan was disappointed but she thought he didn't notice so she pulled away awkwardly. "I don't see anyone." He nodded and patted her head. "Let's go downstairs, I have to check the cheesecake we prepared."

She chuckled. "It was so fun baking together. But I am sorry I couldn't help you with the cooking, I am having a sick feeling. It's frustrating."

Both of them descended the stairs. "I know, It's okay, You can cook me a lot of dishes after you are officially my wife." He smiled at her.

When they entered the kitchen, Mi Chan hugged him from behind. "I don't like the perfume you are wearing. Oh my god, it used to be my favourite but it's giving me a sick feeling."

Wang Zhao turned around," Are you serious Chan?" She nodded and pulled away. He frowned. "Did you go see a doctor? Had tests? Wait, you cannot possibly be pregnant cause I clearly know, it's been more than three months since I even touched you that way."

Her expression darkened. "Why is everyone assuming I might be pregnant. Yes, and I did visit hospital. The doctor said it can be due to stress and not having proper meals. I don't feel like eating anything lately."

He nodded. "Understood but, I am just worried about you. It can be possible. I remember, when Sang Yinuo (Sang Qian's older sister) got pregnant, she had exactly same symptoms."

Mi Chan smiled. "Don't worry, I don't want kids as of now. How irritating." She mumbled and walked away. She didn't notice the darkened expression on Wang Zhao's face.

A few minutes later, they heard the bell ring. The apartment was big, it was a huge living room with high walls. There were total of three rooms on the first floor and two guests room on the second floor. Surely, since it was a new apartment the rooms were empty.

The apartment had an inbuilt gym and small study. It had a huge room on rooftop with a glass ceiling. It made the clouds visible. But the security system was very tight to reach that room and come down from it.

Mi Chan ran to the door and opened it, she saw Sang Qian dressed in a cherry t-shirt tucked in her black ripped jeans. Her black Air-force made her look even cool. But this was meant to be a formal dinner party. Question marks were all over Mi Chan's face but she didn't say anything.

Sang Qian held two shopping bags in her hand. She had a fake smile which dropped as soon as she entered. She eyed the apartment. "Am I too early?"

She heard the only possible deep voice. "Others are pretty late." Zhao walked to her side and took the bags away. She felt the touch of his hand and her heart skipped a beat. She turned around and before she knew the bags were placed on the couch.

"I see. Well, you apartment is Exquisite. A good investment." She said as a matter of fact. Mi Chan handed her a glass of water and she accepted it.

It was awkward for an ex-love rival to be between the two lovers. She felt as if she was a third wheel. "It's awkward." She mumbled. Mi Chan chuckled.

"Oh by the way Where is my wedding dress, I didn't receive it?" Mi Chan asked with a confused look.

"Aunty Wang asked me to deliver it to the mansion since that's where you will be getting ready. Make sure to make it to the mansion tonight." Sang Qian smiled lightly and placed the glass back on the dining table.

She didn't notice how Wang Zhao was silently listening to them. Mi Chan then asked Sang Qian the question Sang Qian dreaded. "Why didn't you dress formally?"

Qian sighed. "I cannot explain myself but I couldn't anything suitable to wear and moreover this is more comfortable than a dress. I might end up drunk so.." her words trailed off when her eyes traveled to Wang Zhao who was pouring a drink for her. His sleeves rolled up.
