Antagonist of My Heart

Standing under the big chandelier, both of them stared at each other. The calmness of the church couldn’t conceal the cold atmosphere. The priests’ words ringed in her ears. She batted her eyelids of boredom as a small sigh escaped her lips. ‘For all the efforts I made to have you in my life, you called me a Villainess. But you never realized, all I ever wanted was a happy ending for you. I gave up. When I look back, I realized I never fought for you, and I never tried to be the happy ending for you. Now that I know, I will have you no matter what it takes.’ She thought to herself as she stared at his dark orbs. Her heart tingled with mixed feelings. She raised herself and pressed a kiss against his lips. His usually stoic expression was rather a sad one. His dimmed eyes fluttered with weird emotion. *** She was serious when she kissed the man she loved goodbye and that marked the start of a new journey for her. She was sure that this time, It was all going to end on a happy note for her. No drama, no hate. It was meant to be simple and sweet romance but expectations could only disappoint her. Instead of a new sweet romance she was brought back to the square one with her first love. Was she sure she had moved on? YES. *** Sang Qian sighed. “Ugh!” She let out an annoyed grunt. Before he could step away. She held the collar of his shirt and pulled his torso closer. Wang Zhao was careful of her moves. Her eyes had a cold glint in them. She leaned in, her acting bossy was something that made his heart skip a beat. She was so close to him that he was ready to kiss her. She brushed her lips against his. Their lips touched. He leaned forward to press them together but she leaned backwards. He paused and looked up. He saw her smirk. “You’re not the only one who can play with me..” she sighed. Wang Zhao held a sudden urge to take her down. He gulped the lump in his throat. [NO CLICHES & NO LONG BORING CHAPTERS GUARANTEED] Add it to your library!! Read my other book - Totally opposites? Aren’t You leaving?

Sang Qian couldn't swallow the scene in front of her. She could never imagine Wang Zhao sleeping in her bed. Moreover, she definitely didn't expect him to be here. She walked closer to him and noticed his sleeping face. He looked so relaxed. Why didn't he leave? Why was he in her bed?

Many thoughts crossed her mind. She sighed when she realized he was really sound asleep. She was irritated to a point where she could beat the shit out of him. She didn't like someone invading her personal space and here he was, sleeping soundly IN HER BED!

She gulped down the lump in her throat. She twitched her lips when memories started playing in her brain, when she first met him as a girl who just stepped into her teenage. Her young heart was looking for someone to give itself to and she found Wang Zhao.

She gulped the feeling," Qin Si said I should fight for you? But Can I really do that when you were the one who hurt me the most in the end? When you never believed me? When you forced me give up my self respect in the worst way possible?"

Her insides churned slightly," I wonder what is wrong with me." She let out another sigh. She decided to wake him up. Her eyes turned cold," Get up!" She yelled. He furrowed his brows lightly and they relaxed again as he turned around. She scoffed," hey! Wake up! Get away from my bed!"

He didn't budge. She pressed her temples, he was really irritating her. She stepped closer and removed the duvet that covered him. He turned around abruptly," What are.." his words were cut short as a feeling of surprise spread through his system. Sang Qian was so close to his face. For the first time, she didn't feel anything. Probably because she didn't notice.

He gulped lightly and blinked," get away!" He cleared his throat and his face regained its coldness. Sang Qian stepped back," what are you doing here? Didn't I warn you not to invade my room?"

Wang Zhao sighed. He didn't say a word and simply pulled himself up from the bed. He buttoned his cuffs and put his shoes on before he picked up his coat from the nightstand. Sang Qian looked up lightly. She didn't wear heels at home so she looked comparatively shorter.

He looked down at her," you look shorter. People shrink?" She scoffed," answer my question, why did you enter my room? Don't you know how to respect someone's privacy?" He raised a brow," I just wanted a good sleep, I couldn't afford to sleep on the couch."

He walked out. She followed him and noticing that he took a seat on the couch; she frowned," aren't you leaving?" He raised his head," did you answer my questions?" His eyes were fixed on her face and he could see her changing expressions.

In the end she nodded her head," Fine, stay for how long you want! I am not going to answer your questions. Keep on wasting your time." Before he could reply, she walked back inside. He sighed and then again she came back picked up the food on the counter and walked inside. She left behind a bowl of noodles.

She took all his favourite dishes. He twitched his lips but he was also as stubborn as her. Sang Qian on the other hand, munched on the food as she cursed him.

She decided to take a bath and after that, she wanted to drink something. She stepped out of the room and she saw Wang Zhao working on his laptop. She frowned," are you serious? You really are this stubborn?"

He didn't even look up," just being YOU." Sang Qian pursed her lips. She gave up! She walked to the kitchen and grabbed a can of juice," listen here. I seriously don't want to answer any question. I hurt you and Mi Chan in the past, I will just agree to that rather than explaining you I didn't."

"It was my mistake that I gave you too much importance back then. I was crazy. I had a bad choice. Everyone makes mistakes, my biggest mistake was loving you." She couldn't hold herself back. The words escaped her lips without herself knowing.

He looked in her eyes, he was trying his best to be calm and finally was ready to know the truth. To end this war calmly. But she had to start the argument again, he didn't hold back either," Yes, back then, You had a BAD CHOICE OF ACTIONS. You were someone I despised and surprisingly I still do. I can't get enough of my hate for you. Its filled inside after all the limits you crossed."

Sang Qian scoffed," How many times I have to clarify, I wasn't the only one.... wait! I don't want to argue with YOU! Especially at this time, I don't have enough energy to do so. Please, don't start it."

She took a deep breath," l will make you some coffee, have some before you leave. Don't forget to lock the door on your way out." She walked back to the kitchen.

She started making coffee. "By the way, don't worry, this time the feelings are mutual. I hate you more." She said those exact words with such a calm face that no one would believe her.

On one hand she was preparing coffee for him and on the other hand she spouted those words. He nodded his head lightly, trying to study the situation. He was trying to find that one clue on her face, to prove she was lying but failed. " When did You change so much though. I mean for the better." He muttered his thoughts.

Sang Qian paused the stirring of coffee," you never knew my side of story darling. You only heard what people said." She slid the cup across the counter.

He raised the coffee to take a sniff," It's better this time. Atleast I won't have to think that you still love me. Now, I can clap back as hard as I can." She laughed," When did you ever restrain yourself. You have always been like this. You weren't any different."

He smirked," then imagine, if this time you mess up, how bad Would I do to you Sang Qian. I am apologizing but I don't mean it. I never lie and I swear I will make your life a Living hell if this time, You try to mess with me and Mi Chan."

Sang Qian looked back in his eyes," look Wang Zhao. U hate me? I hate you? Right?" As expected she answered it herself," Yes right! Don't worry. I gave up on you three years ago when you left me behind. I don't want you. I too want your wedding to pass by peacefully. I never did anything out of my line, and I won't ever."

He placed the cup back," fine then, let's make a deal. You will make sure I have a peaceful wedding. You won't interfere in my business, will be there at every celebration as a family member. My family loves you, so for them, Try to hold back that hatred. Do NOT MESS UP THIS TIME. AND IF you do, you promise me, You will not ever complain about the consequences."

His voice was cold and crisp. Her brain warned her again and again. He was giving off a dangerous vibe right then. She looked in his eyes and extended her hand trying not to sound weak," Deal."

He held her hand lightly, shaking it. When their hands touched her heart again skipped a beat but her eyes didn't miss the hatred that flashed in his eyes before he looked back down and sipped the coffee," Don't forget to get a sophisticated dress for my engagement this weekend."

He walked back to the couch and she crossed her arms over her chest," lock the door on your way out and leave behind the invitation." She walked back inside her room and leaned against the door. She made a deal with him. She won't mess up this time. She surely won't.

Just as she walked past her closet, she noticed that one of her diaries was lying outside. She frowned' I might have forgotten to keep it back inside the last time I cleaned the study.' She thought to herself. She picked it up and walked to her bed.

Her fingers traced the leather cover. Her diaries have always been her best friend. She pushed the duvet over herself. She could smell Wang Zhao's scent invading her nostrils. She frowned," this is so messed up!" She complained before she again concentrated on the diary.

She opened it and the first page itself made her heart twist. It said three words 'betrayed, Misunderstood, lost.' She flipped through it and after reading almost half of the diary, she reached the part she dreaded the most. The time which she could never forget. A time, when she felt the most vulnerable.
