How It All Began

In an unknown place, 2021.

It was just another relatively normal autumn evening. The Sun had long disappeared from the view as the darkness started to take over. The remaining dusk barely provided any sort of natural light as it, too, started getting devoured by the darkness.

People in their vehicles or on foot moved about, doing their business. Some gleefully move about with their friends, planning to enjoy the nightlife, while some hastily make their retreat towards their homes after a busy day at work.

Streetlights and stalls with various vendors selling all sorts of accessories, coupled with the light from the automobiles and shopping malls make up for a lively display of a small city.

A chilly wind blew from time to time, signifying the coming of winter, but people paid it no heed as they rushed to their destination.

A figure could be made out, standing on the edge of a flyover in a relatively dangerous position to their life. If one moved closer, they would find that the person was a male, seemingly in his early twenties. The person wore a casual white T-shirt, tucked inside his jeans with an unbuttoned, midnight coloured blazer on the top. He wore a pair of horn-rimmed glasses which gave him an intellectual look.

"The last one...." He felt his voice choke. He gritted his teeth as the sadness rampaged in his mind. 'The last straw binding me.....also broke.'

He felt his intestines gurgle, as if butterflies were fluttering inside his stomach.

'Ah yes, I have been starving myself for a couple of days, haha, soon....it won't be a bother anymore.' He thought to himself, as he took deep breaths to steady his mind.

A gust of chilly wind blew, as he barely held his balance with his weakening body. His eyes were slowly tearing up.

'I talked with so many of them....' His heartbeat stared to hasten up. 'But nothing worked, Nothing At All!'

His lips parted to reveal a grin, a grin full of detest towards life and anything related to it.

'They all said that Life will be better. All of them did...' He kept grinning through his gritted teeth, as he clenched his fists. 'But Life?! It never did! It kept getting worse and worse and worse!'

'I...just what did I do wrong...?' He slightly opened his mouth as he gasped for air. 'It really doesn't matter anymore. It never did.'

Having steeled his resolve, he slightly applied pressure to his legs, before he jumped!

Gravity did what it was accustomed to, and he slowly gained more speed while falling down. The wind smacked his face and ruffled his already messy hair, forcing him to close his eyes.

He knew the end was not too far, a teardrop emerging from the corner of his right eye. 'Mother, Father, My old friends, My relatives, Everyone that used to care for me....' He braced himself for the upcoming impact. 'I'm Sorry—'

With a thud, he reached the ground and lost connection to his thoughts, blood dying the surrounding few centimetres of the rock hard basalt pavement to a crimson red. People nearby stopped doing what they were, and rushed to surround him with their smartphones in hand, someone even called the ambulance. But little did they know, it was too late....

He died.

'Huh? Where exactly tf am I?'

He forced open his eyes as his eyes barely managed to get used to the brightness. The sound of the drizzling rain hitting softly against the window sill filled his ears.

'Rain? In the middle of Fall...? Rare but not strange....' He looked around, and to his horror, he found out that everything seemed so old and out of place.

'How exactly is it-' He covered his mouth to not let the gasp escape. He remembered that he had taken the decision to suicide. And according to his plans, he shouldn't have survived the fall, let alone wake up in a strange and antique room.

He soon realised that him, surviving, or being in that room wasn't the only strange occurance. The more weirder things were the terrifyingly huge amount of memories, complete with a whole new language.

'Could it be that....I have isekai-ed?!' Light finally shone in his dim eyes. He got up and looked outside through the only open window as he started understanding the situation.

'Aight, so Isekai exists, and I managed to be in this place, it's so ancient, wait...could it be that...' His pupils shrunk in realisation as to what had happened.

He was in a different world, and it wasn't any random one, it was highly likely that he's in a Wuxia World! He tried hard to calm down, This news was simply too shocking!

The bamboo houses, the ancient lights, and everything around. They all gave off a cultivation novel vibe. As he looked outside, within the rain, he felt surges of excitement coursing through his blood vessels instead of blood.

He soon regained his composure, as his bright eyes turn dull again. He started thinking of a name, a name that would make the Heavens tremble and the Earth shatter!

'Hmmm....I have a lot of choices to choose from... Cao Nima? Nope. Xiao Xiaolong? Nah. Sun Jie? Couldn't be worse....' Soon, he realised that he didn't need one ; he had parents, friends, and a name already!

He sighed and closed the window, his dull eyes reflecting back everything that he saw. He lied down on the bed, as he tried to digest the amount of memories that the previous owner of the body had.

'Hmm... it would seem that I'm called Tie Hao Qiu, at least I'm not named Tianlong or something...' He kept browsing through the information until he found a very interesting piece of information.

A sister! He actually had a sister now! Tie Hao Qiu closed his eyes as he tried to remember more about his sister.

Soon, Tie Hao Qiu managed to fish out more information about her. Her name was Tie Meiying, she actually had different parents, and the relationship between his parents and Tie Meiying's parents was great.

Tie Hao Qiu scourged through his memories to find another crucial piece of information. It turned out that Tie Meiying's father and his father were Blood Brothers. The relationship was very close and Tie Hao Qiu and Tie Meiying spent their childhood together for most of the time.

Then, Tie Hao Qiu finally reached the part which he was curious about the most.

Four Years Ago, Tie Meiying and her family went to visit her grandparents, but during the way to their village, a Demonic Path Rank 3 scoundrel attacked them- 'No Wait!' Tie Hao Qiu's pupils constricted.

'Demonic Path....Rank 3....Tie surname...' Realisation suddenly dawned upon him. "I... actually am... in the Gu World of RI!"
