CHAPTER ELEVEN

I and Jackie walked to our next class which was English and we had together. When we got to the class, the boys were already there but Erwin wasn't which is wired because by now he would have been here to struggle Jackie's seat with her.

"Where is crazy?" Jackie asked her brother

"I do not know" he said looking at his book

"That's odd" I said. Scanning the entire class room, I saw one of Erwin's friends that I say hi to ones in a while. I walked up to him; he was talking to two other guys. One of them tapped him and whispered something to him then he turned and looked in my direction.

"Hi Kane, where is he?"

"Are you missing him?" I scoffed

"As if"

"Okay I believe you, you don't have to look at me like that"

"Can you just tell me?"

"I wish I could Alice but I can't because I don't even know where he went" that's strange. I did not ask him any other question I went back to my seat. The teacher came in later on, and Erwin was no show so I just assumed he had to go home.

When it was time for lunch, the four of us went to get our food. I added my chicken wings to what I got. As we ate, Jordan kept trying to steal a piece but I kept catching. Just then Erwin and Lilian walked into the building together, Lilian had a smirk on her face, while Erwin had a frown. Our eyes met but he looked away. Throughout lunch till school was over Erwin ignored me alone. He would say hi to the boys and sill tease Jackie but said nothing to me I said absolutely nothing to him because this is one game, I am very good at.

The next day, I came early as usual waited for the rest of them to come. But today, they came only thirty minutes later than I did and so did Erwin, when I saw the boys and Jackie come, I said hi to the three of them and pretended like I did not see him. He said hi to me and my reply was silence then I turned away from his direction and looked at Jackie. Jackie understood why so she did not bother asking any questions. We have English right now so Jackie is with us. The teacher came in and started class. I could see Erwin from the corner of my eyes turning to look at me from time to time as he should. I mean who does he think he is? He ignores me yesterday and expects me to be happy to see him hell no. When the class was over we went for practice because the principle cancelled the remaining three classes before lunch so we could practice and have a little bit of rest before the rest of the day continues.

When we got to the training field all the equipment everybody needed was provided. I have to give it to the school they are well prepared no wonder they are the host. Jackie and I had to separate I went to were the runners were while she went to where the archers were. We had to warm up first by jugging and so we started both the sprinters and the long-distance runners we were all jugging after that out coach told us to relax our feet before we start try outs for who would represent the school in different categories. I watched as they started with the 100m, the guys team went first while the girls team went after the same thing was done for the 200m. It was time for the boys team to run, I stood by the corner looking at them Daniel, Jordan and two other guys I have seen a few times were in the same team. While they ran, I could tell that Jordan was faster than Daniel I mean that guy is a beast. I have seen a lot of fast guys but this one is different.

My turn finally came in my head, the race was like marathon why would I run 1500m when I am not been chased. When I heard the whistle, I fell into a jug, the girl who was beside me started with a very full speed. This is a long-distance race girl where are you rushing to? She started like a sprinter which would be bad for her legs and her breath later and in no time, she was very tired what a pity. When I saw the finish line, I picked up my pace I could hear the boys cheering me on, then from the corner of my eyes I saw another girl beside me what the...? where did she come from? but too bad I was way faster and I picked up the pace and I won. The moment I crossed the line I fell on the floor and closed my eyes breathing so hard running that kind of distance in circles would make you really dizzy which could also make you puke. I could hear Jordan's voice from afar calling my name. I wasn't passed out let them chill. I got up seeing the boys and Jackie having a worried look I gave them a smile and they were all relaxed.

"You are crazy" Jordan said shaking my shoulders and smiling really hard

"How are you that fast" running for my life helped

"Miss Walker" the coach called

"Sir"

"You are in, practice every day" Every day?

"Yes sir" I said reluctantly but I have no choice. Before I started home school, I used to be in my previous schools' track team and I haven't done it in a very long time which means more practice. Now I am here I can do it anyways. Just as expected Jackie and three other girls are going to represent the female archery team and Erwin was part of the boys team. Daniel and Jordan also qualified.

When practice was over, we went for lunch. We sat at our table to eat and some people came up to me to tell me how fast I was which made me feel some pride but I made sure not to show it.

"Look at our super star" Jackie said with a smile

"Not so fast Jackie the real deal hasn't come yet so we can't be too happy just yet" I said as I popped a fry in my mouth. A blue bottle was place close to my tray and the person stole some of my fry. I looked up to see the culprit and it was Erwin. I pushed the tray to him then got up and walked out of the hall filled with hungry students but they aren't hungry for food but gossip. Erwin followed me out of the hall calling call me petty I don't care if he can go low, I would definitely hit the bottom of the freaking Pacific Ocean.

"Olivia come on are you still upset?" Is he kidding me? I looked at him

"Are asking me that? You are not sorry so don't say anything to me at all" I yelled at him and walked away to only God knows where. I this unnecessary drama? Yes, do I care? No. Why I'm I even upset? It's not like he is important.

I am so tired of this. I went to the school library to clear my head. I read a few books and went back to class. One getting to class, almost everybody was back because there were still some empty seats. I sat down and brought out the book that was meant for the next class which was Biology. I opened my notes to do a quick study because the chances of a pop quiz are very high and I am not taking any chances. The guys came in and sat down in their regular seats and I told Daniel to seat with me instead of Erwin.

"Not again, what the heck does he want?" I heard Jordan says. I know it is Clay he is talking about because the guy seems to be getting on Jordan's nerves off recent.

"I just want to talk to her I promise I won't take long" Clay pleaded. The boys turned to look at me if I was okay with it, I had to let him because he has been asking to talk to me for a while now so I would just let him pass. I took him close to the class second entrance which was and the back of the class and I is far from the students so if we talk quietly nobody would hear. I saw all three of the boys looking at us while on the other side Kane and Clay friend were looking at us

"What?"

"He is coming"

"Who?"

"You know who Alice" No way

"He goes here?"

"Why did you not tell me?"

"You never gave me a chance to"

"When?" I have to prepare myself mentally

"I do not know, but he is" Just thinking about him is making my head cloud up. I could hear faint voices calling my name and they keep getting farther from my hearing. I felt somebody's hand stroking my shoulders and gradually I started to pull myself together Erwin was squatting right in front of me looking really worried while Daniel and Jordan are angrily interrogating Clay. Why Is this happening now? I could feel some sort of tears building up in my eyes and I did not like it so I had to suck it up. Well today has ended for me so I had to text the sub driver to come pick me up. I sent a text to Jackie that I was leaving early. I also told her and the boys to come over if they could the next day since it was a Saturday.
