A.I.M. Part 9

Undeterred, I grab one of them by the head. This man generated a lot of heat in his body.

Ever since I injected myself with the Jackal serums, my body hasn't fully adapted to them, so with each passing day my body grows stronger as my 'Genetic Adapter' gift adapts the remnants of the serum.

That is why the extreme heat generated by this man did not affect me when I grabbed him.

I slam his head into the ground and the man explodes. A huge explosion surrounds me but it doesn't hurt me and my clothes don't get damaged because they are made of a special material.

As I look at the Mandarin, I say to the girls:

"Take care of the explosive men, I'll take care of the old man"

The girls didn't say anything, but instead sprang into action.

Psylocke disappeared from her position and with her energy swords cut down one of those men.

Riri donned her suit and blasted energy bolts at two of these men.

Wanda, Laura and Rogue also helped them take care of those men.

Alex Wayne POV

As the girls started their fight, I slowly approached the Mandarin.

When I approached two meters from him, I ask him:

"Why does A.I.M. want Riri so much?"

The Mandarin's face shows surprise for a moment upon hearing my question.

"So you know about us, we really underestimated you Alex Wayne" the Mandarin said calmly.

"Then, will you tell me why they want her?" I insisted.

Raising his eyebrow, the Mandarin says:

"I'm sorry, but only the higher ups of A.I.M. can know that, no one else"

"I see, then I'll stop you"

Finishing saying that, I get into a battle stance.

"I guess there's no choice" the Mandarin said as he also got into a battle stance.

After seconds of silence, the Mandarin makes his first move.

At high speed he approaches me and throws a punch to my chest.

Using my fist, I block his. The impact of our fists produces a shock wave.

The Mandarin backs up about two steps, while it only leaves my arm numb.

The Mandarin quickly recovers and throws a right hook at me. I avoid the blow and throw a punch at his chest; he protects himself from my blow with his shoulder and due to the impact, he takes a few steps back.

When I was going to attack him, I feel the air around me turn cold and I can see ice forming around me.

I look at the Mandarin and see that the pinky ring on his left hand is glowing.

Seeing that, I know he's using the powers of those rings.
