Chapter86: engaged.

I went to the coffee table and Alex followed me."Alex, the food I bought you is cold."I said sulking looking at the already cold food. We talked alot that I forgot the damn food.

"It's okay baby. We'll go out and eat something. It's good that dad will join us, what do you think?"Alex asked and I sighed. 

"Okay, but this is so much loss. I bought you your favourite dish from my favourite restaurant."I complained but Alex chuckled.

"It's okay. We can take the food home and warm it."he suggested.

"Nice try to make me feel better but still the food would not be tasting the same."I said. 

"Enough with the lovey-dovey session, we going out for lunch or what?"Alex's dad said and I looked at Alex who nodded his head.

"Yes, we can leave."I said looking around Alex's office." Umm.. don't you maybe want to arrange something in order. We can't leave the office like this."I said then I looked at Alex who just smiled. Why is he smiling?

"The office is fine. "His dad said and I looked at him. Is he serious. There are documents lying around and Alex's desk is not looking good at all.

"Dad, give her this please. She's a clean freak that's why. What do you want to do baby?"Alex asked and I blushed. He shouldn't be calling me 'baby'in front of his dad.

"Maybe arrange something in order. These files should be kept somewhere neatly and I don't know, your desk should be more neat."I said.

"Don't worry everything will be done as you wish but not by you. Right now we are going out for lunch."Alex said and he held my hand. His dad followed and we got out of the office to be met by Peter. Crap, I didn't talk to Alex about him and neither did I talk about him getting me a driver. I'll surely talk to him about getting a driver because I don't need one.

"Peter, what is it?"Alex asked him and he looked at me. I shock my head to let him know I didn't accomplish what I told him. It's not my fault I forgot though. He smiled bitterly and he looked at Alex.

"Leave him alone Alex, we need to go. It's not like I'm a terrorist that I came to bomb you or something."his dad said and Alex looked at them confused.

"What the hell are you talking about?"Alex asked and his dad smiled.

"So forgetful. It's good you are not remembering let's go."his dad said then he looked at Peter." It's Peter right?"he asked and Peter nodded immideately."great, go have lunch or something. Rest today."Alex's dad said and Alex glared at him.

"Dad, you can't do anything like this but I'm gonna give Peter that. You can go rest Peter."Alex said and I saw Peter smile. I smiled at him too then Alex took my hand and we left for the elevator. 

When we reached the guards guarding the elevator at the ground floor I shot them a look as if telling them'see, I told you.'"what are you doing baby?"Alex wispered in my ear and I shifted my gaze to him and I smiled at him.

"Nothing."I whispered back.

"Were they giving you a hard time?"he asked again and I nodded.

"It was taken care of don't worry about it."I told him and we stopped walking and that's when I realized we are at the parking lot.

Jaden came to Alex who just gave him a skeptical look." Jaden, we are going out for lunch."Alex said then Jaden gave me a confused look. I smiled at him but I didn't say anything.

"Okay master."Jaden said anyway despite his confused look.

"I have my driver so just say the address and I will meet you there."Alex dad said and Alex nodded. He gave him the address and he left while Alex and I left and entered the car and Jaden drove us.

When we were in the car I thought it was a good opportunity for me to talk to him about the driver shit.

"Alex, I want to talk to you about something."I started and Alex looked at me and he kept his phone in his pocket.

"About you being my wife. You do know there is no escape route right now right. Since you declared it, I'm marrying you and I don't want any excuses. Today you're sleeping a married woman. You are my wife from today till death do us apart. Even death wouldn't be able to separate us because after death you will be mine."Alex said and I looked at him shocked. How does he change everything to his advantage? 

"Alex, I didn't want to talk about....."I didn't even finish a sentence because he interrupted me.

"Baby you said you are my wife and now you want to change that? You told my dad that and what? I'm I supposed to tell him we are not married. We are getting married today so that he won't suspect anything. What is it that you want to say about that?"he asked and I sighed. 

"Fine, I'll get married to you."I said and this time I mean it. I can feel myself wanting this and I'm gonna take it. Just like what my friends said that if I love him and he loves me then why stall this anymore. If I really love him then I should be ready to marry him in a heartbeat. I feel like I'm ready now.

"What did you say?"Alex asked again. I know he must be shocked right now. Considering how we argued the last time then he must be shocked.

"I said I'll marry you."I said and he looked at me still shocked and surprised.

"Say it again please."he said again and I climbed on his laps. I didn't care if Jaden was in the car. I have to make this man believe what I'm saying. I held his cheeks and I kissed him then I looked at him. I can see he's still in shock.

"I'll marry you Alex. I know you are surprised after what I said yesterday but you just didn't want to listen to me yesterday and I got angry when you started shouting at me. I may have exaggerated a little bit but I am gonna marry you Alex."I said."yesterday I really felt bad that my friends didn't support my decision to be angry with you. I really wanted to find support but I got none of it and after thinking for a while I thought that maybe you guys were right. You may have not taken me for any date or taken me to see your parents but that doesn't matter. So long as what I feel for you is real then why wouldn't I marry you? I love you Alex."I said and Alex hugged me tightly then he pulled away immideately and looked at Jaden.

"Jaden stop the car."he said and I looked at him confused. The car came to a stop.

"What's wrong Alex?"I asked him and he carried me out of the car and he put me down on the ground. I looked around at the busy street and I looked at Alex again."Alex, please say something, anything."I added and I saw him go on his knees. What the fuck is happening? Alex can't be serious doing this in front of all this people. This is a busy street.

"Kimberly Johnson, I know I'm not the best man in the world but I'm trying to be the best. I can't promise you anything but one thing I'm sure of is that you are going to be my wife. From the first time I saw you I knew you would be. So I am officially asking you, Kimberly Johnson, will you marry me?"Alex said and tears started flowing down my cheeks. I can't believe this. I didn't expect this at all. I looked at him then I looked up to prevent more tears from flowing down. I looked around and I saw people had stopped and circled us and they were all looking at me expecting me to do the right thing.

I looked at Alex again and saw how he was looking at me. So eager and waiting for me to say something." YES Alex, yes I will marry you."I finally said and Alex got something from his suit jacket and opened it to reveal a diamond ring. Where the hell did he get this from? He took my left hand and slid the ring in my ring finger.

We heard people clapping and Alex got up from his knees and hugged me. I was in shock. I didn't know what just happened."baby thank you so much for everything."I heard Alex say in my ear. He pulled away from the hugg and he slid his hands on my waist and then looked at crowd that had been cheering at us.

"Thank you so much everyone. You may resume with what you were doing."he said and led me to the car. I can't believe I'm engaged.
